From Nationals to what’s next 💜

Looking back, that weekend was something special. The energy, the noise, the races, and everything in between. AusChamps was more than results. It was the full experience.

Early mornings. Pool sessions. Beach walks. Team dinners, grocery runs, bus rides, sideline cheers, and quiet recovery moments. These are the parts that brought us closer and made the whole campaign unforgettable.

We showed up, raced hard, and backed each other all the way. Going head to head with the best in the country and doing it together is something to be proud of.

These results didn’t just happen in one weekend. They reflect a strong campaign across the entire season. The consistency, the work behind the scenes, and the belief we built along the way all led to this.

Looking forward, it is about carrying this momentum into what’s next. Reset, recover, then build again with bigger goals ahead.

Grateful for the journey.

What a weekend at the LNY Regatta for Sloths Dragon Boating Club 💜🔥

We’re proud to share our recent success:

🥇 Back to back Gold in Open Crew Premier, two seasons in a row
🥇 New Champions in Senior A Open Crew Racing
🥉 Premier Mixed Crew Sloths Purple podium finish

Out of 5 categories entered, we brought home 3 medals in total. A huge achievement that reflects the discipline, teamwork and commitment across our entire club.

From early morning trainings to race day ex*****on, every paddler, sweep and supporter played a part in this result. We’re proud of the way our crews showed up, focused, united and respectful, leaving it all on the water.

Season 2025/2026

At Sloths, captains are more than just leaders on the water — they’re chosen by our members to embody trust, equality, and respect. Every year the decision is a tough one, with so many paddlers bringing experience and leadership, and that strength is what makes our club so special.

We’re proud to announce our captains for the 2025/2026 season:
🐉 Women’s Captain: Shona Stewart
🐉 Opens Captain: Matty Epati
🐉 Mixed Captain: Natalie Trajcevski

This year our mixed paddlers unite under one captain for all, leading a squad that is stronger together. We may line up in different boats on race day, but we remain one in effort, spirit, and purpose — celebrating every achievement side by side.

And just as importantly, we paddle for fun! Our captains will play a key role in building that spirit — keeping training and racing enjoyable, inclusive, and memorable for everyone.
