I have had a few blokes from the U'17 Premiership side speak about another reunion in 2026, I think they are worried the might not be around for the 60th in 2029. It is a year early for the 55th reunion of the U15's 1972 flag but I think it would be great and hopefully get a lot more players to attend this time.

We are looking at combining the two year, but basically anyone that played at the club in the 60s and 70s would be great to have along.

June and July are the months we are looking at but we need to find out from the club about a game that fits in with them. We are not planning on a huge spread, it would be great to get a couple of the club past players/coaches along and reminisce on stage of their memories from back then. I haven't asked them yet but Graeme Ellis, Geoff Hyme are a couple that come to mind.

Wives and partners would be welcome and anyone from the club or around town that would enjoy the afternoon.

Add your thoughts and we can firm up a date with the club once the 2026 fixture is announced. Also tag anyone you think might be interested.

Time is quickly approaching for August 6th Reunion for both the U15 and U17 teams. It will be here in a blink of an eye, so please post below if you are attending or Macca will start calling you all personally to ask why not! I have had one U15 player now living on the Sunshine Coast say he is not attending, I am considering posting his mobile number so he can be inundated with text messages asking why not.

We have a date for the reunion lunch of the combined 1972 U15 and the 1970 U17 Premierships, it is August 6th at the rooms before the Wantirna South game. We decided to go with a later date so any interstate members had as much time as possible to get organised.

We are hoping for as many people as possible to get along and enjoy lunch, a few beers and catching up with old friends. To book please reply to this message with name, number of guests, email and phone number. Cost will be $35 with drinks at bar prices.

Ok as soon as the 2022 season fixture is announced we will have a date for the lunch, hopefully it will be June/July that will give everyone heaps of notice to arrange travel and accommodation. That's if we are out of lock-down by then! Look forward to a great day and hopefully The Dales will have a big win. to top the day off.
