1-6 Method for Strength and Size

Work up to a 1 rep max for that day and do 5x1 at that weight.
Then reduce the weight by 2.5kg then do 2 reps. Follow the sequence by reducing the weight but increasing the reps by 1 until you do 6 reps.
Fatigue might kick in by the end of the 5 rep set so you may need to reduce the weight by 5kg instead of just 2.5kg to get 6 reps.
The sequence looks like this:
1 1 1 1 1 2 3 4 5 6.

Pair this another big exercise to keep the nervous system primed for work rather than doing a single exercise and resting as this can reduce the nervous system working efficiently.

For example:
Squat & Press
Deadlift & Incline Bench Press
Weighted Chin Up & Close Grip Press
Front Squat and Bench Press

Home Workout Exercise 1.

Back Plank:
Get 3 chairs and set them up in a T pattern with enough room to fit your body between so your arms and shoulders fit between the top 2 chairs and so just your heels can fit on the bottom chair.
Great exercise for posture improvement for when you’re working from home.

Trap Bar Deadlift 135kg for 2 reps paired with 1 Phase Speed Deadlift 15kg for 10 reps.
No eccentric/lowering phase of the speed deadlift to focus on getting power for the jump phase.

Mixing strength and speed leads to power!

Do a heavy lift for 1-2 reps combined with set of faster reps where you aim for moving a much lighter weight as fast as possible.

Here I’m doing Bench Press 92.5kg for 1 rep immediately followed by slam ball chest wall throws at 15kg for 10 reps!
