I did something the other day. I signed up for my first Ninja Comp, Round 1 of the Tri-Series.

This is an in-house competition, so it should be great watching how much better these young ninjas are compared to this obstacle racing hack!

It's fair to say I'm out of my depth, but hopefully, I can have fun trying not to embarrass myself!

Worse case, a top 5 could be on the cards. πŸ˜…

What a day! Super done with an awesome crew from both and for the Werribee Urban

It was also great to watch them use their strength at the Atlas Carry whilst volunteering later in the day.

To all that trained and participated, it was a pleasure to be a part of your obstacle journey that's hopefully just getting started/kick-started.

So it's been a day or two since we last updated the page, πŸ™ˆ but now appears to be the right time to restart our social media pages.

This weekend, we are back with the Werribee Urban event.

It is fair to say that I haven't been this excited for a Spartan race in quite some time. On Saturday, it'll be the first time hitting the course personally since my DNF in the Bright Ultra a few years back.

As exciting as it is to hit the course, I've had the privilege of training a good 15-20 Spartans over the past 6 weeks at . Thanks to Jase and Kaz for entrusting me to run the sessions.

The growth they have shown over this time, from obstacle veterans, those looking for redemption and those hitting the course for the first time, has been simply incredible.

Definitely helped reminisce about all those years ago in the peak of obstacle racing.

I am looking forward to helping, joining, and watching them accomplish success on race day.

Day #3 for the The Push-Up Challenge is 175 (350 for those silly enough, like myself, to do double).

This represents the 17.5% that saw a mental health therapist in the past year. A great step in a positive direction. If you are thinking it might help to do so, don't hesitate as they do some incredible work.

As for me right now, there are no excuses, just getting Push Ups done and trying to create a positive role model for my boys. The Backstreet Boys definitely do sum it up nicely!

Day 1 was all βœ…οΈβœ…οΈ with 192 Push Ups completed.

The number 96 comes from 96% of Australians that are NOT meeting recommend dietary requirements. That is a massive amount not eating correctly and can be one major pitfall in physical and mental shape.

In all pushing my way through day 2, which is 130 (x2 to 260). This is for the number of calls receives every hour. That's a lot to process through daily and hopefully they are all beginning their journey away from the dark space in their lives.

As with the Cam de Fitness business, I have the privilege of also being a Coach for Geelong Fitness and Geelong Ninjas, ran by the amazing Jase and Karen Lydom!

Both gyms have signed up for The Push-Up Challenge starting today.

This is 3,144 Push Ups, spanned over 23 days. As you are probably aware, I'm a stickler for rules (eg Burpees in a Spartan) and a sucker for challenges.

I've signed up for both gyms, so the question was raised, should it be 3,144 Push Ups, or technically doubled to 6,288? I'm sure you can guess which one I'll be doing.

What is The Push Up Challenge?

It is in support to help Push for Better mental health. A great way to help raise awareness to mental health and help remove the stigma around it.

You don't have to struggle alone. Talking to someone, anyone, can help get you in the right direction. It is not easy to openly admit that, your saying "I'm not too bad" but internally saying "but in not good either".

By opening up to even one person you trust, or professional, it can help shift some of the weight off your shoulders.

Exercise is great for mental health and any little bit you can do, can go a long way in your Fitness journey, both physically and mentally.

Now if you wish to support in any way, below are the links to my Push Up Challenge. Support doesn't have to be monetary, it can be as simple as a like, interacting with the posts, focusing on your own mental health or even joining the challenge yourself (your welcome to join either team as well!). As long as it positively affects at least one person, that is all that matters.

Congrats to everyone that ran, walked or rolled today for the Run 4 Geelong event.

It was great to see the event back after being Virtual for the past few years.

Here's my finish with Traci and Pete after the 5.5km race. We weren't the quickest on track, but we had plenty of fun on the course. Pete was even banging on about how he could go the extra distance for the 10k!

Our small, dedicated crew have still been working hard to kick goals in the background.

For just $10 per week for 4 weeks, you'll be able to attend any of our outdoor sessions over those 4 weeks!

We have been quiet to the masses as Covid Lockdowns has prevented us from getting a run on.

With official news todays of personal trainers being considered "authorised workers" we are able to offer 1:1 or 2:1 outdoor training!

We have plenty of equipment raring to go that will be transported to a park inside your 10km radius from home.

The sessions are planned and ran to suit you and your personal fitness goals. That could be as basic as getting back moving from a tough lockdown yo-yo or an event that has inspired you for 2022.
