Indoor bowling was a great occupation on a cold day!
Fifteen players enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of fun and friendly competition. The winners were Judy and Lyn — congratulations to both ladies!

The group played three games: Traditional Shots Up, Chase the Kitty, and Target Scoring, which kept everyone entertained and laughing throughout the day.

A big thank you to the Sporties for generously donating two bottles of wine for our winners.

The winter season of Indoor Bias Bowls has officially kicked off! A lot of players only catch up during the winter, so there was a lot of welcoming and catching up going on. Throughout the day there was a lot of laughter and good natured ribbing. A special congratulation to Vicky on her 12 month anniversary of her lung transplant! You wouldn’t believe how much energy she has. And the winners of the day were Avril, Grace and Judy! Well done!👏👏👏

And just like that, this year’s winter season of Indoor Bias Bowls is over!

We have had a fabulous time, lots of laughs, lots of good company, and the occasional good bowl!!🙂

The final winners of the season were Douglas, Trish and Laurie.

Congratulations to you all.

A big thank you to Carlene, Dave and Shirley for setting up each week.

Another big thank you to Douglas for getting together with Dave to sort the teams and games for each session.

Thank you to the Sporties for our lovely afternoon tea on this last day!

And the biggest thank you of all is to everyone who came along to play and enjoy some camaraderie!

Good luck to any of our members who are going to play Lawn Bowls in the upcoming Pennant season.

And to those of you not bowling, I expect to be able to drive past your place and see your gardens in pristine condition, because you will now have the time to tend to them!!🌻🌸

Last night was the second last round of this season’s Bellarine Indoor Bias Bowls Competition. Both Div 1 and 2 played at home against St Leonards and Ocean Grove respectively. Div 1 finished the night with a draw but Div 2 weren’t quite so lucky🥲

If Div 1 win next week they have a chance of getting into the finals but Div 2, even with a win, would finish outside the first four.

Whatever the finish, it has been a great way to spend a few cold/wet nights with some other mad people who also go out on cold wintry nights!!!😂

A great day for some social bowls. A bit cold and wet outside but toasty inside! Had some members come for a look and finished up having a go and are coming back next week for a game.
Played two games of 10 ends each, the first was Traditional and the second was Traditional Chase the Jack.
Winners of today’s chocolates are Bev Kingsbury and Douglas Thompson! Congrats on your win! Looking forward to next week’s games.
