Grand Final day is about celebrating our players, coaches, umpires, volunteers, families and supporters. Let’s make sure it’s a day everyone can enjoy! 💙
👏 FOR ALL SPECTATORS
Support, don’t shout instructions. Encourage your team without coaching from the sideline.
Respect the umpires. Their decisions are final. Please don’t question, criticise or abuse them.
Respect the players. Remember that many of our athletes are juniors and are still learning.
Keep language positive and appropriate, especially around junior games.
Celebrate good netball from both teams. A great intercept, pass or goal deserves recognition regardless of the score.
No sledging, taunting or personal comments towards players, coaches or officials.
Give teams space. Allow players, coaches and officials to focus before, during and immediately after the game.
Be a role model. Our younger players are watching how adults behave.
🏐 FOR PLAYERS
Play hard, play fair and respect your opponent.
Respect the umpire's decisions, even when you disagree.
Keep your focus on your own game and avoid arguing or retaliating.
Help create a positive atmosphere for your teammates and opponents.
Shake hands, congratulate your opponents and show good sportsmanship after the final whistle.
Remember: the result matters, but how you play matters too.
👨👩👧👦 FOR PARENTS & SUPPORTERS
Let the coaches coach, umpires umpire and players play.
Your job is to encourage, support and celebrate your player.
Avoid comparing players or commenting on mistakes.
Win or lose, make sure your player knows you're proud of their effort.
