Day 6 final day seen our boat head out early as we had a 80km steam to a sea mount that raises from 6000m to 200m. Upon arrival birds were working the waters which was a positive sign. Lures in and with a few minutes bang ! A small yellowfin quickly followed by another. This set up the day with constant hook ups on Yellowfin Tuna and Striped Tuna. While the fishing was hot Rich managed to get a quality Yellowfin Tuna past the tax man and went around 15kg. We were losing as many as we were landing with some quality fish over 40kg amongst them but couldnt get them past the sharks. Meanwhile boat two didn’t have much luck as sharks were a nuisance also, although hooking up to a couple of Doggies but to no avail. It was an awesome trip with good friends and you could imagine the banter and laughs we had ! If you ever get the opportunity to come over here and fish, try Ocean Blue / Trees and Fishes Resort as it won’t disappoint. 👌
