Woorayl Golf Club

Woorayl Golf Club Woorayl Golf Club is located within the Leongatha Recreation Reserve in the centre of the small town of Leongatha in South Gippsland.

The golf course comprises 9 well laid out holes with some bunkers and water hazards adding to the difficulty. Regular competition days are Wednesdays (Ladies Day), Thursdays and Saturdays. A 9-hole "Chook Run" competition is held every Thursday during daylight savings. In addition to these there are open competition days throughout the year on most public holidays along with a 5 day Annual Tournam

ent in March each year. Visitors are very welcome at Woorayl with a modest green fee charged per day, regardless of the number of holes they play. The club itself boasts a proud pennant history in the South Gippsland Disctrict Golf Association with many Pennant Flags decorating the walls of the clubhouse.

Hi all, today 10 Ladies played stroke and count your putts for September Monthly Medal, sponsored with thanks by Harvest Lane. Today’s weather was lovely and the course is looking amazing, thanks to all who help to make look so great. Bev Bridge with 101-31-70 is the September Monthly Medalist. Runner up was Jean Hayes 97-26-71. BDL: Sherrill Winkler 76, Jo Fennell 78. The putting with 30 putts was Bev Bridge. NTP’s⛳️Ann Poole 8th & 17th, Jenny Riseley 11th. 🦃Marg Tuckett 16th. 🐦‍⬛Jean Hayes & Ann Poole. It was nice to catch up today with our golfing family after being away with them last week. A little progress each day adds up to a big result😉Have a nice week and remember kindness costs nothing, so be it….kind🌺

Due to the weather forecast, it was decided that we would play a 9 hole Stableford competition. 13 Ladies braved the elements and were glad we did when the rain hit. The day was sponsored by Woorayl Golf Club with thanks. Sharyn Rayson was today’s winner 20pts. BDL: Heather Sullivan 19pts, Lyn De’Laney 17pts. ⛳️8th Tricia Berryman , who also had a 🦃gobbler on 6th. Our Ladies are heading to Rich River next Monday for a week away playing golf, we are hoping for dryer courses with some run and some good scores. Have a good week and remember to be kind🤗🌸

This Country Week Fundraiser is an Ambrose sh***un event being held at Mirboo North GC on Sunday August 30th 9am for 9.30am. BBQ lunch is provided in the entry fee..

Entries need to be in by Wednesday 26th August.
