This Friday 5th June is a Scorps Schnitty night, grab the tribe and relax into the long weekend with Doggies v Hawkies playing on the big screens.

🏏 NEW COACH ANNOUNCEMENT 🦂

The Leongatha Town Scorpions Cricket Club is excited to announce Adam Trotto as our Senior Coach for the 2026/27 season.

After leaving the club in 2022 to explore new opportunities, Adam returns to town bringing with him valuable experience, knowledge, and a deeper understanding of the game. We’re thrilled to welcome him back in a coaching role and look forward to the impact he’ll have both on and off the field.

We’re excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to see the growth and progression within the club throughout the coming season.

The LDCA Awards night on Friday!

Town won the coveted Charltonian Award for Best Presented Club. This is recognition for excellence in presentation, an absolute credit to all involved in the power of work that goes into Scorpion Park's grounds facilities and rooms. We are so proud of the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere at Scorpion Park, it is a credit to each and every Scorpion.

Our top players too were recognised:
Madura Madusanka was selected for A1 Team of the Year.
Poly Kallookkaran was selected for C2 Team of the Year.
Nat Challis and Kate Oates were selected for the Open Women's Team of the Year.

Nat Challis won the Open Women's Batting Award with 197 runs, and also took out big one - the Open Women's Cricketer of the Year with 312 points.

We couldn't be prouder.

Once a month during footy season, grab the family, assemble a crew, and head down to Scorpion HQ for a relaxed social dinner.

We’re kicking things off early this Thursday before the long weekend (I know, not a Friday but pretty Friday-ish).

Schnittys from 6:30pm.
Brisbane v Collingwood on the big screens from 7:30pm.

Our Presentation Night took place on Friday, a wonderful celebration of the club and all the people who make it a success. We farewelled Jesse Giardina as Captain Coach, thank you Jesse for your commitment over the past four years.
It’s been a great year for our Under 17s, Under 15s and women's team - all making grand finals.
While there might not be any new photos going up on the wall this year, each player who has donned the green this summer should be proud of their contribution. Across the board there’s been excellent teamwork and sportsmanship, you have all done us proud.
A huge thank you to all the people who do the work behind the scenes to make it all happen.
We look forward to returning with fresh energy in the spring.

The Scorps gave it their all, but it wasn’t enough. It is said that losing provides valuable, if painful, lessons that no victory can teach. Time now for a little soul searching to come back stronger than ever next season.

Match highlights include:
• Rory’s mammoth 91 runs off 58 balls, with five showstopping sixes and 10 fours.
• Mo’s 60 including 11 fours.
• Crazy’s 51 runs on the Gump.
• The Edwards father-daughter duo Razor and Alyssa batting together in C Grade.

Here’s our line up for C Grade on Saturday. Scorpion Park is once again the place to be, with A Grade action on the main ground and our C Grade stars over on the Gump.

There’s a good couple of spots around the ground where you can get a look at both games, just gotta make sure your heads turned the right way to catch the exciting moments!

Stick around afterwards to get together and toast the season with a vote count back in the rooms.
