Ranked within the top 120 of ALL golf courses in Australia and 65th best Public Access Golf Course in Australia by Golf Australia magazine. This great golf course is located just 10 minutes from Leongatha and Inverloch and less than 2 hours from Melbourne. Carved out of natural bush environment the wide undulating santa ana fairways are flanked by tall eucalypt trees and the excellent greens have

subtle contours. Careful shot selection is required and the driver might remain in your bag on some of the dogleg holes. You might come across some of the wildlife on the course including wallabies, koalas, wombats and an abundance of birdlife. Visitors and groups are welcome to play in our regular competitions.

There’s something pretty special about seeing generations come together on the range 💚

Life Member Pat Pease — our longest-standing female member with an incredible 65 years at the club — today spent some time alongside up-and-coming young golfer Jasmine. And safe to say, both were still stripping it a mile!

Pat kept everyone entertained with stories from her early days, having been part of the club since its Leongatha South chapter began back in 1961. A living piece of LGC history, and a reminder of the strong community that continues to shape our club today.

Moments like these are what make LGC more than just a golf club. Here’s to honouring the past while inspiring the future 🏌️‍♀️✨

💙⛳ Brian Twite Bowl – A Special Day of Tribute and Community

Today’s Brian Twite Bowl was a truly special occasion at Leongatha Golf Club.

This year’s event carried added significance, following the passing of Brian Twite OAM on Tuesday, just shy of his 100th birthday. Brian was a dearly loved member of both the LGC and the wider district community, with a long and lasting contribution to the game—particularly through coaching, where he mentored many, especially juniors, alongside his great friend and LGC Life Member, Kit Boag.

Established in 1986, the Brian Twite Bowl continues to bring together women from across the district and beyond, and today’s event was a fitting tribute to Brian’s legacy.

We extend our sincere condolences to Brian’s family and friends, and to all at Metropolitan Golf Club, where he served as Head Professional from 1955 to 1994 and was a Life Member.

It was wonderful to welcome a Metropolitan team, alongside eight district teams, and with the sun shining, it made for a beautiful day of golf and connection.

Thank you to our sponsor, Greener Life Inverloch, for the generous prizes, to our volunteers for preparing a fantastic lunch, and to Paul the Pieman for the gourmet chicken pies that were thoroughly enjoyed.

Community Comes Together for Elders Charity Golf Day at LGC

Yesterday, Leongatha Golf Club was proud to host the Elders Annual Charity Golf Day — a fantastic community event raising funds for local families in need.

A full field of 144 golfers hit the course, battling it out for bragging rights, before 180 people gathered in the clubhouse for lunch and a lively auction. The day truly showcased the strength of our community, with generous support from local businesses who donated an incredible range of auction items.

A big thank you to the Elders team, along with their employees and families, who generously volunteered their time to help bring the day together.

And of course, a huge thank you to our dedicated tribe of LGC volunteers who worked behind the scenes to make the day such a success. Your time, energy, and commitment helped deliver a memorable event for a truly great cause.
