NEW PLAYER SIGNING ANNOUNCEMENT ✍️
Legana Cricket Club is thrilled to announce the signing of Pramud Hettiwatte for the 2026/27 season! 💚💛

Pramud joins us with an outstanding cricket résumé, having represented his state throughout his youth career before going on to play more than 100 First-Class matches in Sri Lanka across 3-day, 4-day, One-Day and T20 formats.

His achievements include: 🏏 Player of the Tournament – Sri Lanka Major Clubs T20 Tournament (2020/21)

🏏 Representative player for the Kandy Provincial National Team in 2022 and 2023

🏏 Three successful seasons playing club cricket in England

🏏 Player of the Tournament in Victoria Turf Cricket Division One while playing for Sunshine Cricket Club in Melbourne

A proven performer and quality person, Pramud will play a major role in helping drive our club forward as we continue building something special at Legana.

The Legana Cricket Club is pleased to announce the appointment of coach for the 2026/27 season.

As we continue to build, we are excited to have a coach that is committed to developing our players, strengthening our club culture, and helping reach player potential both on and off the field.

The 2026/27 season promises to be another exciting chapter for the club as we continue our journey at our new home and look to build a strong future across our senior, women’s and junior programs.

Men's Mental Health Week runs from 15th - 21st June this year.
I'll be hosting an event across the weekend of 13th & 14th June in the lead-up.
On Saturday 13th June, 'Razor' Ray Chamberlain will be the special guest speaker ahead of Sunday's The Clint Ewington walk for men’s mental health- a 10km walk from Tailrace in Riverside to Riverbend Park & return (which Ray will also be taking part in).
The event was founded by Jarrod Wells and honours his late workmate, Clint Ewington, who tragically passed away in late 2023.
We would love to see as many as possible join the walk which begins at 10am - no online registration required, just turn-up and show your support.
Tickets to the night with Ray on Saturday night 13th June are on sale now at $70pp, which includes canapes & snacks and will be held at Tamar Function Centre, 1 Windsor Drive, Riverside.
Ray is an outstanding speaker and person - a night you won't want to miss.

Well thats it for me leading this great club, I have formally resigned and handed over to Chris Munro who i feel will do really well leading us with support from Shaun James and the rest of the committee

Thanks for all of the lads and ladies who stood up to make our committee the biggest in our history and please everyone get behind Munch and find a way to contribute it will take us all to do our bit
