The 2026 Leeton Galloping Greens Player Calcutta kicks off this afternoon at Hotel Leeton, with the auction starting at 3:00pm.

A huge afternoon ahead with plenty of excitement, great company and plenty of chances to be involved.

🐎 ROUND TEN RESULTS 🐎

Our Reserve Grade side went down in a close contest against Narrandera on Friday night, falling 10-4 in a hard-fought battle.

The Greenies put on a defensive clinic, holding the Lizards to just two tries and showing plenty of grit and determination throughout the game. While the result didn’t go our way, there were plenty of positives to take out of the performance as the side continues to build.

Don’t forget, tonight is our Player Calcutta at the Hotel Leeton, with auctions kicking off from 3pm. We look forward to seeing all players, supporters and sponsors there for what promises to be a great afternoon 💚

A reminder to all players, supporters and spectators that from 5:00 PM onwards, entry to the grounds will be via the main entrance at the canteen only.

Gates at No. 2 Oval and No. 3 Oval will be locked.

✅ Free entry for all spectators

Make sure you get down to the grounds and support not only the Greens, but also our junior players from the Leeton Raiders who will be in action throughout the evening. Let’s get plenty of local support behind all of our teams and create a great atmosphere for a big night of footy!

The 2026 Leeton Galloping Greens Player Calcutta goes under the hammer tomorrow at Hotel Leeton, with the auction kicking off at 3:00pm.

🟢 THE TEAMS ARE HERE… WHO’S GOING UNDER THE HAMMER?

Six groups. Four home games. Twelve chances to collect.

The numbers have been crunched, the analytics are in, and every group has genuine firepower. But some packs are loaded with proven first-try specialists, while others could become the steal of the auction.

⚡ FULL GALLOP – BUY

The bookmakers’ favourite. Jessica Curran headlines with nine tries and three first-try doubles, while Jesse Watson, Shayden Freer and Beniel bring strike power. With four first-try wins already, this mob can cash in from anywhere.

🐎 THE GALLOPERS – BUY

The only team with FIVE first-try wins already this season. Vula Wate, Cruz Wallace and Sari Leighton give this group threats across all three grades. If you want proven game-breakers, this lot is dangerous.

🦬 THE STAMPEDE – SOLID BET

Consistent, balanced and packed with value. Taylah Axtill and Demi Leighton lead the League Tag attack, while Elwyn Ravu Jr and Alfred Latu provide plenty up top. Not flashy – just reliable.

Twenty-three tries and four first-try wins tell the story. Blake McDonald and Jacob Buchanan headline a group that has quality throughout. Plenty of upside if they get rolling.

🐎RIPPER RESULTS IN ROUND NINE🐎

A fantastic day for the Greenies, with strong performances right across the club and plenty to be proud of.

A massive shoutout to our League Tag girls, who took on their Grand Final rivals and came away with a terrific win. The girls showed plenty of grit and determination and earned every bit of the result.

It was a great effort across all grades, with the Under 18s, League Tag, Reserve Grade and First Grade all competing hard and representing the club proudly.

💚 FROM LEETON GREENS TO THE NRL 💚

This Sunday marks a special moment for our community, with local junior Jett Liu set to make his NRL debut for the Gold Coast Titans against the Wests Tigers.

Jett’s journey began right here in Leeton, coming through the junior ranks with the Leeton Raiders before continuing his development with the Leeton Galloping Greens. Like so many young players, he started with a dream, a football in hand, and the determination to see how far hard work could take him.

His debut is a testament not only to his talent and commitment, but also to the strength of the pathways available to young athletes in our region. It reflects the countless hours invested by coaches, volunteers, parents, teammates, and local clubs who work tirelessly to provide opportunities for our kids to chase their goals and develop both on and off the field.

Jett’s achievement is an inspiration to every young player pulling on a jersey in Leeton. It shows that with dedication, sacrifice, and belief, dreams that may seem a long way off can become reality.

On behalf of everyone at the Leeton Greens, we congratulate Jett on this incredible milestone. We wish him and his family all the very best for Sunday afternoon and for what promises to be an exciting future ahead.
