We had our National Championships this past weekend

Team Riverina had a small team but we had a great showing.

My mother Barbara Evans placed 2nd in full contact and 3rd in non contact, she was the oldest full contact fighter at the age of 59

My daughters Maddy and Chelsea both won there divisions are now Australian Champions in the 6/7 and 4/5 years respectively.

Senpai Jordan Toumazos came out of a 15 year retirement to jump in the Open Heavyweight division. He had a cracker of a fight, unfortunately going down with a cracked rib.

The Domjahn Sisters from Cirillo's RMA smashed their divisions with Lizzy winning decisively by stoppage on both fights and Senpai Chloe doing what she does best in controlling the mats and attacking aggressively. Thats another 2 Australian Championships trophies for the pool room.

The Maddocks from Kyokushin Karate Albury had a great showing with Cian taking 3rd place and Harper having a great fight but not getting the decision. These kids have a big future ahead of them.

Bring on the next one The Riverina Championships in Griffith on October 18th.
