The little school from Leeton has been as dominant throughout this competition as any beanie we’ve ever seen come through. During the week they ticked off another milestone by knocking out 2000 votes in wild scenes to knock out the Lions.
To put it into perspective, Parkview are almost 1000 votes ahead of where NEIS was last year, with a bye in the first week!
No matter who the challenger has been, they’ve managed to get on top, all this without an Instagram account! But that’s because they’ve been so dominant over Facebook.
The Grand Final pits them against a beanie who is almost on the flip side, minor Facebook presence but big on Instagram.
It’s going to be interesting to see how Parkview play the next 24 hours. Until last night’s score they would’ve been pretty confident that the Grand Final was theirs for the taking but it’s going to be a slog!
The school would absolutely love this title so they’re in for a big 24 hours! Monday morning Assembly could be fun!

Well isn’t this one of the greatest runs to a Grand Final you’ve ever seen? These two twin brothers have come up with a witty brand name that so aptly covers them and it’s stuck like super glue with the voting public!
They’ve started underdogs in a large portion of their clashes but somehow have just found a way. All this with a very new Facebook account!
There has been one big factor, and it’s of course their Instagram presence. The twins have run an astute promo alongside with the competition and have an army of good mates who are trying to carry them over the line. You need that to have gotten so far in this competition, against tight knit communities like clubs and schools!
Receding Airline is the top Instagram vote getter thus far for this year, and the Flamingos showed yesterday if you can try and nullify that you can get yourself very, very close. 3 votes away in fact!
Regardless of the result, we think this competition has definitely opened up a new customer base with some tight finishes leading to a few more Receding ‘Airlines!
