The first leg of Richard Teague’s double header for the WA long weekend fixture. The first nine had the pre frontal showers spoil the start but after it cleared was quite a nice finish to the day. Scores indicated the wet start with 35 points leading the leader board. Daryl Howes & Coralie Corich had 35pts with Greg Miller on 3rd with 34 pts on a countback from Steve Forrest. Member Pete Callow wasn’t happy with his golf again, filling the bin with his clubs. Pete philpott was the lucky winner of the Naga.
The second round tomorrow with the same prizes as today & an overall winner. Thank you Richard for your generous sponsorship not only this year but the last 11 yrs. Special mention to a junior having her first game of golf today with her Dad Luka Manenica, well done Lucija, keep playing & hopefully love the game.

A beautiful Autumn day at Ledge Point today saw a smaller field than usual compete for Mike Gould & Joe Pardos Stableford game. Although the weather was sensational the scores weren’t brilliant, 36 points was good enough to take out the Men’s winner with Clive Ellis having another good week,on a count-back, runner up Al Thompson also 36 pts. Ladies winner Lesley Philpott 36 pts and new member Megan Dixon runner up on 34 pts. Thank you Mike & Joe for your continued support.

A glorious Autumn day for a 18 hole Stableford at Ledge Point today where 60 players played in Loraine & Ian Metcalfe’s sponsor day. Course was a little damp after a few showers last few days & the scores reflected that. Overall winner was Dave McDonald with 38 points from Clive Ellis 36 pts, also Ladies Winner Lee Hunter with 36 and overall third Daryl Howes 35 pts. Thank you to the Metcalfe’s and their visitors for playing over the last 3 days.

Ledge Point Ladies Open day was held yesterday with a field of 72 for a 4BBB. 20 clubs were represented on a slightly showery day, majority of the day the rain held off. Visitors cleaned up the prizes with Emmie Wright & Therese Hastings (Guilderton) the best of the day with 45 pts. Runners up Joy Davis & Carol Williams (Cottesloe) 43 pts. 3rd: Lorraine Sims & Marion Gathercole (Seaview) 41pts. Robyn Woods & Peta Verco (Chequers) 41 pts C/B from Mel Cooper & Coralie Corich 41 pts with Dionne Carrier & Louise Brown 41 pts & rounding out the prizes Lesley Philpott & Jan Wilson 40 pts on a C/B.

A summer type day with plenty of flies saw 44 players for a Stableford contest sponsored by long time sponsor & club member Gary Barrett. Ideal conditions after the Easterly died down, saw Peter Philpott win with 43 pts from Chris Patridge 37 pts. Ladies winner saw Coralie Corich back in the winners circle after a long hiatus 39 pts from consistent Linda Ellis 38 pts.

A sunny but very cool day in Ledge Point today for the third round of the Club Championships. 59 players battled it out for the prestigious Beige Circle sponsorship. Some great scores & new faces on the podium, Luke Baker had a day out with a 64 nett, Runner up after his scroungers second was Ollie Catalano 69 nett, consistent Jeremy Cook 69 nett with Enzo Catalano 70 nett from Michael Burke 70 nett. Best Gross on the day was Michael Paterson 79.

Anzac Day at Ledge Point with 59 players for a Stableford Game sponsored by Greg & Meghan Miller, on a nice Ledge Point day, with a slight wind, saw youngster Jake Overstone have another win with 41 pts. Although not a regular member his lessons & joining Lakelands Golf Club will make him a player in the making. Pleased to have a junior in our club. Runner up Frank Condo 38 pts who beat Lee Hunter also on 38 pts. Thank you to the Millers.

Golf was pretty much played in paradise conditions today at Ledge Point with a gentle breeze which was ideal for the field of 58 competing for Graham Silvers & Gina Beswick’s Stableford game. Sensational weather saw sensational scores with none better than the sponsor herself with 49 points. Popular winner for the men’s Jeremy Cook with 40 pts on a count back from Peter Philpott 40 pts. Ladies winner apart from Gina was Mel Cooper with her first win at Ledge 39 pts from Linda Ellis also on 39 pts. Thanks Graham & Gina.
A special mention to our fantastic & extremely hard working treasurer who turns 70, wishing Coralie Corich a very happy birthday.
