Trainer Confession: My amazing tech support informed me that yesterday was National Selfie Day.

Since it takes me a solid 24 hours just to figure out how to flip the front-facing camera on, we are celebrating a day late. 😂

I might not be an influencer, and I might not know my angles, but I do know how to coach a brilliant session. We all have our strengths!

An update on the Mudder Ready crew: they are absolutely crushing it.

But the biggest wins I am seeing aren’t physical. They are mental. I am watching people in this community attempt things they were terrified of three weeks ago. I am watching them ask for help instead of struggling in silence.

That is the magic of this community. When you know nobody is judging you, you realize you are capable of so much more than you thought.

Trainer Confession: Sometimes getting a perfect, balanced meal prep done just isn’t going to happen.

Happy International Sushi Day!

When I have back-to-back sessions on the floor and zero time, a quick sushi roll is the best grab-and-go fuel there is.

Taking the pressure off yourself to be "perfect" with your nutrition is a massive part of the Heart Work. Fed is best.

It’s Men’s Health Week, and I want to send a massive shoutout to the blokes in our Gym Fam.

The fitness industry often tells men to suppress their emotions, push through the pain, and just "man up." It’s an exhausting way to live and train.

Here at Perception Fitness, we do things differently. You don’t have to carry the weight of the world on the gym floor. If you need to drop the armour, take a lighter session, and just have a chat to decompress, this is your safe space to do it.

In fitness culture, modifying an exercise is treated like a weakness.
I call rubbish on that. 🗑️

If your shoulder is tweaking, if your nervous system is fried, or if you are just a beginner, modifying a movement to keep your body safe is the ultimate flex. It means you are actually listening to your body instead of just trying to look tough.

That is what Heart Work is all about. We train for longevity, not to break ourselves.
