Imagine walking into a gym and feeling comfortable, regardless of who you are you will feel welcome and at home. No one is better then one another, you are probably all there for the same reason right… But imagine when you are training you get all the support you need, everyone stops and watches you lift regardless of the weight or what you are doing. You have athletes that will help you and give you the time of day, give you a few pointers to help you.

I will tag a few in this post that know there s**t when it comes to our training.

Throw your ego out the door, enjoy training… this bulls**t about trying to be 1% better everyday throw that out the door. Just train, enjoy it and fu***ng do it with amazing people around you.

How to fix your squat

The squat is known as the king of exercises as it's the most important exercise.
🔸
Squatting is one of the most functional exercise you can do because it is very common in our everyday lives.
🔸
Here are a few tips to help improve your squat technique.
• Keep your lower back straight and slightly arched.
• The head and shoulders to be slightly pulled back.
• Keep the chest raised.
• Keep your entire body tight as you lift the bar from the rack.
• Your feet stance is individual specific.
• As you descend after tightening the core, make it feel like sitting down not dropping down.
• Make sure your knees don't bow in or out to far past your toes.

Have the correct perspective and understanding, you want to train with proper focus, intensity, and dedication. Just make sure you are creating an approach that is sustainable long-term and can be replicated week after week.

Some great progression by Basecamp Lifter Toby.
Last prep pushing out 222.5kg Doubles and now 230kg Triples.
Toby is not only progressing on his squats, we sit down at the end of every week and notice that his doing a lot more volume overall which he has never done before, this shows another level of progression. As lifters sometimes progressing isn’t just always the weight on the bar.

So excited to finally have a Mono Lift in the Gym.

We pride ourselves to supply the best equipment these things definitely seperate us from a common gym and as they should we pride ourselves as a genuine Strength and Conditioning Gym. The Mono Lift is used specifically for Squats you will see them being used at high end competitions where lifters are moving large amounts of weights.
