Unpopular opinion: winter is actually the best time to train. ❄️

Hear us out.

When it’s cold your body works harder to maintain its temperature - which means your metabolism is already running hotter before you’ve touched a barbell. Strength and muscle gains are also easier to hold onto in cooler months because your body isn’t fighting heat stress.

But honestly? The biggest reason is this.

The people who train through winter are the ones who show up in spring already ahead. While everyone else is starting from scratch in September, you’ve got four months of consistency behind you.

Habits built in the hard months are the ones that actually stick.

So if you’ve been on the fence - the cold isn’t a reason to wait. It’s a reason to start.

Block 3 is here. 💪

Over the next four weeks we’re building across the barbell and gymnastics - the kind of work that compounds and pays off big in Block 4 when we retest everything.

What to expect:
→ Clean & jerks
→ Front squats
→ Snatches
→ Deadlifts
→ Muscle up practice

Block 4 is where we retest benchmarks, oly 1RMs and squat RMs. That’s where you’ll see exactly what this work built.

But you have to be in it to see it.

Consistency over the next four weeks is everything. 🙌

Exhibit A: why you should never miss an in-house comp. 😉

Saturday workouts are always a good time, but this was a little extra special.

This morning we drew names at random - one RX, one Scaled - and took on three workouts together. Some of those pairs had never even shared a workout before, different schedules, different class times.

We saw some PBs (turns out we really love a heavy clean workout 👀), new mates and on top of it all - we had so. much. fun.
