Your workouts aren’t the problem.

This is something I see all the time - women who are training consistently, showing up, putting in the effort… but still not seeing the results they want. So they assume they need a new program. A different split. More sessions.

But most of the time? It’s not the training that needs to change.

It’s everything around it.

How you’re fuelling your body. How you’re recovering. Whether you actually have structure and routine in your day-to-day life. These things matter just as much - if not more - than what you do in the gym.

If you’re under-eating, skipping meals, running on stress and no real routine… your body isn’t going to respond the way you want it to. No matter how solid your program is.

This is exactly why my 12-week program isn’t just about the workouts. It looks at the full picture - training, food, recovery, and the habits that support all of it. Because that’s where the real results come from.

If you’re feeling stuck, don’t just look at your training. Look at how you’re supporting it. 🩷

6 things I had to learn the hard way 😅

1. Strength training will change your life more than any cardio class ever did.
2. You’re probably not eating enough protein.
3. Rest days aren’t laziness. They’re where the results actually happen.
4. The goal doesn’t have to be weight loss - strong feels so much better.
5. You don’t need to train more, you need to train smarter.
6. Stress and sleep matter as much as what you eat and how you train.

They say that the only bad workout is the one you talked yourself out of!

Pulled some tough love on myself and got my session in super late today and I feel a million times better for it 🩷

Sometimes our excuses….are just excuses 😉

Flexibility is the secret to consistency.
It’s no secret that I’m a plannner, I love a good plan, I love structure and I love a routine 😂

School holidays + a busy work week has flipped my whole routine upside down this week - the gym just hasn’t been happening on my usual days. Today I knew I wouldn’t make it, so instead of skipping, I made it work from home.

Luckily the equipment I’ve got here means I could run through exactly the same session I’d have done at the gym - so no excuses 🙈

Still slowly rehabbing the elbow too, so keeping it super light on the curls and lateral raises 😅

You can always find an excuse not to - or you can find a way 🩷

I had a few people reply to my story the other day about this… so I wanted to expand on it a bit
Because it’s something I see ALL the time!

Right now, I’m actually loving training
I feel strong, I’ve been consistent, and I genuinely look forward to going
But it’s not because I suddenly found the “perfect program”
It’s because of everything around it
I’m fuelling my body
I’m recovering better
I’ve got some structure to my days
And because of that… my training feels better than ever

This is the part so many women overlook
They think they need to change their workouts
Start something new
Try a different program
But most of the time… it’s not that
It’s what’s happening outside the gym

If you’re under-eating, skipping meals, running on stress and no routine… your body isn’t going to respond the way you want it to.
No matter how “good” your program is.

So if you’re feeling stuck right now, don’t just look at your training - look at how you’re supporting it 🩷

Imagine feeling stronger, more energised, and confident in your 40s…

I’m going to be honest with you…

You can’t out-train your nutrition.
You could be:
* smashing yourself in the gym
* doing HIIT 5 days a week
* walking every single day
…but if your food isn’t aligned?

Weight loss will feel HARD (or not happen at all)
Because the biggest driver of fat loss is:
Your calorie intake.
Exercise helps - absolutely. It builds muscle, improves your health, boosts your mood…

But food?
That’s where the magic (and the frustration) happens.

This doesn’t mean:
*cutting out carbs
*eating as little as possible
*living on salads

It does mean:
*Eating balanced meals (protein, fibre, fruit & veg)
*Having some awareness around portions
*Not mindlessly picking all day
*Finding an approach you can actually stick to
So if you’ve been wondering why nothing is changing, even though you’re ‘doing all the workouts’….
This might be your missing piece 🩷
