South Launceston Little Athletics Centre is committed to keeping all of our little athletes safe. 💛

Every member of our volunteer team must hold a valid Registration to Work with Vulnerable People card.

This includes:

✔ Committee members
✔ Officials
✔ Track and field helpers
✔ Canteen volunteers

If you haven’t applied yet, now is the time.

Having a valid RWVP is essential to helping us provide a safe environment for our athletes and ensuring our centre meets can run smoothly. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

📣 AGE GROUP MANAGERS NEEDED! 🔴🔵⚪

With the 2026/27 SLLAC season fast approaching, we’re looking for volunteers to step up as Age Group Managers for the following groups:

🏃‍♀️ U13 Girls
🏃‍♀️ U14 Girls
🏃‍♀️ U15 Girls

🏃‍♂️ U6 Boys
🏃‍♂️ U7 Boys
🏃‍♂️ U9 Boys
🏃‍♂️ U10 Boys

Age Group Managers help guide athletes between events, keep the group together and make sure everyone is ready when it’s their turn to compete.

🙋 No experience is necessary. We’ll help you get started!

It’s a great way to get involved, meet other families and support our young athletes throughout the season.

If you’re able to help with one of these age groups, please send us a message or speak with a committee member.

Many hands make for a smoother competition day, and we’d love to have you on the team! ❤️💙🤍

To join our Tiny Tots program for the 2026/27 season, your child simply needs to have turned 3 years old by the start of the season on 3 October.

Tiny Tots is all about introducing young children to movement, coordination and athletics in a fun and supportive environment.

Looking for a fun and active sport for your child to try?

Little Athletics Tasmania is hosting a FREE Come and Try Day tomorrow in Launceston.

📅 Sunday 13 September 2026
⏰ 1pm to 3pm
📍 Northern Athletics Centre, St Leonards

It’s a great chance for children to experience Little Athletics in a fun, friendly and welcoming environment.

🏃 Try a range of athletics events
🤸 Learn new skills and build confidence
🤝 Meet the friendly team from SLLAC and other local Little Athletics centres
💪 Get active, have fun and discover a new sport
