Happy to be back leading a session today in the GAP (Get Active Program) run at The Child and Family Centre at Ravenswood. Today’s topic was ‘Building Momentum and Ageing well’ followed by a boxing session.
An inclusive program and I love the program is about self awareness and introducing practical tips to improve lifestyle choices as well as the exercise component of the session. It was great to see this lovely group of participants finishing the program today and receiving their certificates.

When motivation is low or when I am going through the motions I remind myself that it’s a privilege to exercise. For many reasons, it’s not an option afforded to everyone.
Simply, if you can, then exercise as health is wealth and it’s a preventative health measure you can have influence over. Your physical and mental health will thank you!

A quick trip to Bridport, where the warm, sunny, still and calm day made me wonder if it really is Winter. A run on my fav trail and beach time with Winnie = perfect way to unwind and re set for another busy week full of group sessions, PT, onsite sessions for organisations and that’s just with Fit n Kicking! Have you got your exercise routine sorted for optimum health- both mental and physical?

What it looks like joining in on a student free day with your Mums PT session…showing how to appreciate and enjoy being active, sharing experiences that help to see and feel exercise as something to enjoy for a lifetime. As they grow, they’ll carry these habits into adulthood, laying the foundation for a healthy, active lifestyle.

Leading a session today in the GAP (Get Active Program) run at The Child and Family Centre at Ravenswood. This program involves both discussion and information giving about specific topics (today self esteem) and also incorporates an active element. We used the resistance bands for this part today. An inclusive program (loved seeing the interpretation tool being used for two participants from Bhutan) and allows everyone to contribute and learn in a safe space.
