Something to brighten things up on a wet winter day is a peak look at our new orange HAWK Sniper Reptile lures which will be available in tackle stores early August 26 in both 69D and 60S. Both hydro dipped and sure to catch. We’ll keep you posted on actual in store release day.

In the 1960’s 70’s and eighties yellow was a prominent colour on fishing wobblers and flat fish lures. A couple of years ago we introduced this colour into the Hawk Sniper range, named Robbers Dog. Sales of this lure have been steadily increasing both in Tassie and mainland states. It’s a colour worth having in your tackle box and it’s available in selected Tassie tackle stores including BCF on the mainland. Trade enquires welcome.

We have sourced a limited quantity of size #9 - 95gram ball sinkers. Ideal for rigs where a running sinker is desirable for targeted species. Just add them to the leader for the required weight. Ask your local Tasmanian fishing tackle store to source them for you.

Good catches of calamari are reported in southern waters and Georges Bay. Now is a good time to check your squid gear get ready for a bash at them before forthcoming closures. Also check those squid scaler bags for strength as those purchased some years ago may be getting near their use by date. FUJIMARU jigs available in supporting Tassie tackle stores and selected BCF stores.
