đŸ„Š A quick update for our members!

With the transition from Abaddons to Ascend Muay Thai, we’ve made a few changes to our timetable and how classes are structured.

Tuesdays & Thursdays now have two classes:

đŸ„Š 5:30pm – Beginners
đŸ„Š 6:30pm – Intermediate

If you’re a newer member who has been training with us for less than 3 months, we ask that you attend the 5:30pm Beginners class for now. This gives you the chance to build strong fundamentals, learn at the right pace and get the most out of your training before moving into the Intermediate classes.

Our new waiver and check-in system is also now up and running, so please make sure you check in when you arrive for class.

There are a few changes happening as we settle into Ascend, but they’re all about creating a better training environment, clearer pathways and an even stronger community.

For almost 20 years, Zach has been the driving force behind Abaddons Muay Thai.

The name “Abaddons” was inspired by his late dog, and from those humble beginnings he built a gym that has left a lasting mark on the Tasmanian martial arts community.

Over the years, Zach has coached more than 100 people into the ring and helped thousands of people gain confidence through learning self-defence. His passion for the sport and dedication to his students have created opportunities and changed lives.

Around 12 years ago, Jacob joined Zach as a partner, and together they grew Abaddons into what it is today. From countless trips to Thailand and interstate for training and fights, to running almost 30 events and standing side by side in the corner for hundreds of fights, it has been an incredible journey built on hard work, friendship and a shared love of Muay Thai.

As the gym enters its next chapter, Jacob will be taking over as the sole owner of Abaddons, while Zach shifts his focus to continuing to grow LEGION Fight Sports.

On behalf of everyone at Abaddons, thank you Zach, for everything you have contributed to the gym and the wider martial arts community. Thank you for being an important part of Jacob’s own martial arts journey and for helping build a club that has positively impacted so many lives over the past two decades.

As one chapter closes, another begins. Jacob is excited to lead the next era of Abaddons, while Zach embarks on an exciting new chapter with LEGION. The memories, friendships and achievements built over the past two decades will always remain a part of the club’s story.

The wait is over! Kids Muay Thai classes are returning to Abaddons Muay Thai.

Our classes help build confidence, discipline, respect and fitness in a fun, supportive environment for kids of all experience levels.

Keep an eye on our page, class times and enrolment details will be announced very soon.

Double the pads, double the learning.
Both partners hold and strike, alternating combos to build timing, awareness, and real fight flow on both sides. No passengers, no rest, just constant reps, reads, and reactions.
