June brought the cold mornings, dark evenings, and every excuse not to train but the LHF crew didn’t blink. Attendance was strong, the vibe was high, and the consistency across the board was elite.

Hamish keeps things simple - show up, work hard, don’t take life too seriously. One of our most consistent operators, and living proof that core strength solves just about everything. Not to mention a good laugh!

What he loves about LHF:
Close to home, super convenient, and easily the best view in Tasmania while you train.

PUSH‑UP CHALLENGE WRAP – WELL DONE TEAM

A huge well done to all our Lauderdale Health & Fitness members who took part in Australia’s largest mental health and fitness event, The Push‑Up Challenge, ran from 3–26 June. Your effort, consistency and support for each other made this year’s challenge something special.

This free, virtual event engages people in mental health by educating through daily push‑up targets linked to real mental health facts, reducing stigma through conversation, encouraging connection, promoting fitness, and giving everyone the chance to make a difference.

Participants were challenged to complete 3,307 push‑ups over 24 days, representing the 3,307 lives lost to su***de in Australia in 2024. Many of our members took on the full target, others aimed for the half target of 1,654, and plenty swapped in sit‑ups, squats or wall push‑ups. Every effort counted.

A special shout‑out to Headspace Hobart, who partnered with the Push‑Up Challenge to bring even more awareness and support to our community. As our local Headspace centre, they provide vital support to young people aged 12–25 and their families across mental health, physical and sexual health, work and study, and alcohol and other drugs.

This challenge wasn’t just about push‑ups. It was about learning, connecting, supporting each other, and shining a light on mental health in our community. Well done to everyone who got involved.
