If any of you are interested in upskilling your own knowledge of kiteboarding, work as an instructor or just have more confidence on the beach making better decisions for you and your mates to keep everyone safe then this is the course for you!!

Kiteboarding Australia instructor courses only run once a year in Adelaide and last year (due to the algae bloom) we missed one.

Hi Crew,

Now is the time to get on board and come to this exclusive slice of South Australian paradise.

Troubridge island is a sand island that’s situated a few km’s off the coast of Edithburgh on the York Peninsula. The wildlife abounds and is surrounded by kilometres of sandy bottomed crystal clear water. With reliable afternoon winds and the back drop of the old lighthouse, the area is truly spectacular for kitesurfing.

Ride kitesurfing is offering a fully inclusive package of

- All meals catered and cooked for you and non alcoholic beverages

-On water support and coaching

-Rescue boat on standby while kiting and for any low wind adventures

-Rustic Accommodation for 5 nights with all linen supplied

-Boat transfers for you and your equipment to and from the island with the caretakers, Mark and Lois.

-Access to the RIDE demo gear if you need a different kite or board to get you on the water!!

What to expect:

Be blown away by the amount of wildlife, see Penguins, seals, the resident sea lion, sea birds and more. There is too many to list here!!

Arrive by boat and have a tractor ride up to the accomodation! FUN.

All meals prepared by Hodgins and served for you. (I may be helping here and there, but not really) So all you have to do is just kite, relax and enjoy the island.

Plenty of kitesurfing!!!

Loads of photos and footage of yourself and the crew kiting and out and about.

Evening banter around the dinner table and kite friends to meet forever.

Coaching and support from Matty with detailed wind and tide predictions and a rescue craft on standby at all times.

How to get there:

Meet at Wool Bay (2hrs from Adelaide and 10mins from Edithburgh) then load up the boat with all your equipment, leave your cars secure and drive to Edithburgh boat ramp Mark and Lois, then a 30min boat ride out to the island where you will be greeted by a little red Tractor with a trailer for you to disembark the boat and make it onto the island!!

Yorks Trip #1

November 28, 29 and 30

I’ll be putting a group chat together over the next few days, so let me know if you’re keen. Thanks to those who have already showed interest. Now is the time to lock it in!!

Here we go for the first YORKS TRIP this season!!!

This is the first of 3 trips booked for this Season, book yours now so you don’t miss out!!

These trips are a great way to make friends for life and share the experience that kitesurfing brings to us all.

Details are:

We will wait for the forecast the week before to determine the location.

This year we will be mobile with accommodation being supplied by me in the form of a double inflatable air swag for each individual. These swags are sweet, with a comfy mattress and plenty of room. I’ve tested them and I am impressed!!!

I will book at either Moonta bay, Edithburgh or Corny Point Caravan park so we have showers and a bbq to cook up a feast!!

Fridge space will also be available for your beverages and food in a couple of 12 volt portable fridges.

Cost is $299 per person for two nights (Friday and Saturday) and includes accommodation and all organised kitesurfing activities

$50 per person per day if you want to participate in all the activities but want to organise your own accomodation or just day trip up.

I will have the trailer with all the demo equipment in it for use by anyone who wants to take any of the new kit out for a rip.

Plan is:

Leave Adelaide and head to Parham for a kite at 4:00pm (flat water and knee to waist deep) then dinner at the Dublin pub after. If there is no wind we will just drive on through to the best destination for wind for the weekend.

If we do stay at Moonta, this will be the plan. But if we end up at a different location we will try and do something similar. Wind strength and direction depending.

Saturday:

Do a cruise around the local beaches and a car drop at Warburto point ready for the ultimate downwinder over butter smooth crystal clear water thats on the inside and little waves and kickers out the outside of the sandbar. 😉(I’m calling it as the best downwind location for beginners and experienced riders alike)

After the downwinder head into Moonta for a nice meal and a couple of brews.

Sunday:

See how the forecast is looking and if it’s prime we wait for the wind and hit it again, but if it’s light, take our time and cruise back to town when we are ready 👌🏼

I need anyone who is planning on coming to confirm with me via a direct message so I can set up a messenger group for the trip and plan around accomodation.
