It’s solo concert weekend! 🤩

Our dancers have been working so hard this year on all their new solo routines and we LOVE providing them with a special opportunity to perform at our studio.

Solo concert weekend is so fun! Dancers perform in front of an audience in our large studio with full costume under lighting like a stage performance 🎭

We love it because our older students also get the opportunity to support the production and learn about behind the scenes in theatre.

🧑‍🩰Mondays are for Transition 🧑‍🩰

Our day program students are looking forward to a fabulous day of learning today 🥰

JOKSOD Transition Program days occur a few times each term for students that want to enhance their training and prepare for full time dance.

The day consists of:
🩰 Conditioning and Pilates to start
🩰 Ballet class with industry leading guest teachers
🩰 Variation studies
🩰 Private coaching with guest teachers

It’s a perfect mix to prepare dancers for a future career in dance.

🌿 Dancer Wellness 🌿

As we head into the final weeks of term, we're focused on supporting the wellbeing of our dancers especially our seniors balancing exams, training, solos, rehearsals and competition season.

At JOKSOD, we know that great dancers need more than strong technique. Strength, recovery and mental wellbeing are just as important.

This term we've introduced a range of wellness initiatives, including myotherapy treatments, increased Pilates and conditioning sessions, and a special Yoga & Meditation reset for our senior dancers.

A huge thank you to Andy from Meraki Langwarrin for creating such a calm and restorative experience for our seniors. It was the perfect chance to pause, reset and take care of both body and mind.

At JOKSOD, we strive to build dancers who are not only strong performers, but also healthy, balanced and supported through their journey 🩵

👑 World Ballet Crown 👑

We’re so excited to announce that all three of our dancers that were successful in reaching the Victorian State Finals event have all been selected as National Finalists for

A huge congratulations to
🩰 Elise S - Emerald Division
🩰 Kayla P - Saphire Division
🩰 Ava S - Ruby Division

These dancers will travel to Sydney in August to participate in masterclasses with world renowned teachers and choreographers and take part in a National semi-finals event. Only 30 dancers from across the country in each age group have been selected for this event so this is such a wonderful achievement for our dancers 💖

We wish them all the best and cannot wait to follow their journeys in August! Your JOKSOD family will be cheering for you all, keep dreaming, keep believing and keep achieving beautiful dancers 🌟

What a beautiful evening of dancing at the Enrico Cecchetti Medal Award Finals - the biggest event in the annual Cecchetti calendar!

A special congratulations to Laikyn M, Elise S and Kayla P who were selected by adjudicator Jayne Beddoe to perform their second dance. Well done to Laikyn awarded Runner up and Elise and Kayla awarded Honourable Mentions in their sections.

It was also a fabulous experience for our Noelle Aitken award winners, Lily M (Gr 2) and Capri M (Gr 3) who had the opportunity to perform a classical solo at the event 🩷

Elise was also asked to perform her classical solo as winner of the Rose Medal last year! 🌹

Bravo to our former student Macey A (now at VCASS) who also received an Honourable Mention in the Silver Medal and performed her classical solo as winner of last years Bronze Medal.
