A man who loved Langwarrin through and through.

We are all deeply saddened to hear of the passing of John “JC” Cleary. John was a much-loved part of the Langwarrin community, and his presence will be deeply missed by so many.

From everyone at Langwarrin Cricket Club, we send our deepest condolences to John’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.

🏏 A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS! 🏏
Langwarrin Cricket Club is incredibly proud to congratulate current players and LCC Life Members Simon McEvoy and Matt Prosser on being named in the MPCA Teams of the Decades.

Simon was selected in the 1995/96 – 2004/05 Team of the Decade, while Matt was named in the 2015/16 – 2024/25 Team of the Decade — an outstanding recognition of two players who have given so much to our club and to the game of cricket.

Their selection is a fantastic achievement and a true reflection of their talent, dedication and, most importantly, their love for the game. We couldn’t be prouder to see two Langwarrin legends receive this recognition. 👏

We would also like to extend our deepest congratulations to former Langwarrin players Terry Doyle and Jim Boyd and Chris Brittain, who were also recognised in the Teams of the Decades. A fantastic achievement and one that deserves to be celebrated. 💙

Congratulations also to former Langwarrin players Ricky Ramsdale and Wade Pelzer, who were named in the Teams of the Decades. A fantastic achievement and one we’re incredibly proud to celebrate! 💙🏏

Finally, a massive congratulations to everyone involved in making the MPCA’s 60th Anniversary celebration such a memorable and successful night. Events like these take an enormous amount of work behind the scenes, and everyone involved should be incredibly proud of what was achieved.
