Rosedale pennant results

Last week, Members of the Lang Lang Rifle Club travelled to Rosedale Rifle Club for the Challenge Cup Teams Event.

This shoot involved clubs from the Gipsland Rifle Association : Moe, Rosedale, Lang Lang, Yarram and Warragul/Drouin.

Two ranges each, were shot at 1000 yards with the top 5 scores from each team combined for the total club score.

These were coached matches and luckily there was only very light winds of 8kms/h which is very rare for Rosedale.

Usually , wind reading at that range involves judging how much the flag poles are bending. 8-10 mins of windage is not uncommon.

Lang Lang performed really well, finishing in 3rd place behind Rosedale and Moe.

Some very good scores were posted with a notable effort by nervous new shooter, Vince Bailey who manages a 57.4 on his first attempt ever at 1000yards.

A big thank you to David Reeves, Derek Lyn, Laurie Cootes Vince Bailey, Peter McCashney and Dean Moore(wind Coach) for attending and also to Vince who kindly offered to stay back for the GRA Delegates Meeting.

Message from the Captain,

As several members will be attending the pennant shoot at Rosedale this Saturday 21st May, and others away sick, the range will be closed.
