THE 2014 FOOTBALL SEASON IS HERE.
FIRSTLY WE WOULD LIKE TO WELCOME ALL PLAYER AND FAMILIES TO OUR CLUB.
ITS GREAT TO SEE SO MANY PLAYER RETURN FROM LAST SEASON AND ALSO SEE SO MANY NEW PLAYER AROUND THE CLUB.
A BIG WARM WELCOME TO ALL OUR NEW FAMILIES AT THE CLUB, WE HOPE YOU ALL FEEL AT HOME HERE FOR THE YEAR. IF THERE IS ANYONE WITH ANY QUERIES OR QUESTION PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SPEAK TO ANY COMMITTEE MEMBER, WE WILL BE ONLY TO PLEASED TO HELP.
TRAINING WILL BE HELD EVERY WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHTS FROM 5.00PM.
A BBQ WILL BE SUPPLIED FRIDAY NIGHTS AFTER TRAINING.

IT IS A NFL RULE THAT ALL CLUBS MUST HAVE COPIES OF PLAYERS BIRTH CERTIFICATES/PASSPORTS. IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY SUPPLIED A COPY OF EITHER CAN YOU PLEASE DO SO.
SMOKING.
AS OF 1ST APRIL 2014 A NEW LAW HAS COME IN THAT SMOKING IS
NOT PERMITTED AT ANY JUNIOR SPORTING EVENT INCLUDING TRAINING NIGHTS. SMOKING HAS NOW BEEN BANNED FROM OUR GROUND DURING TRAINING NIGHTS BETWEEN 5.00PM-6.00PM AND GAME DAYS ON SUNDAY.

New smoking bans to protect children
From 1 April, smoking will be banned at outdoor public playgrounds, skate parks, swimming pool complexes and sporting venues during underage sporting events.
These new bans will create thousands of new smoke-free areas used by children and young people across Victoria, protecting them from to***co-related harm.
People will not be allowed to smoke within 10 metres of outdoor children’s playground equipment, skate parks and sporting venues during under-18s sporting events.
These new laws also ban smoking at outdoor areas at all public swimming pool complexes.
The news laws will have a positive community education focus, however where appropriate, an infringement of $144 may be issued to a person smoking in a smoke-free area.
The new bans will provide children and young people with a healthy, smoke-free environment, de-normalise smoking and limit exposure to to***co smoke.
Children are more susceptible to second hand smoke and seeing people smoke will increase their chances of becoming smokers as adults.
These bans build on the Victorian Government’s firm action in order to protect the Victorian community from to***co-related harm.
The government invests millions each year to support quit smoking programs, anti-smoking advertising, education and enforcement activities.
Smoking rates have fallen to a record low. Cancer Council Victoria figures show only 13.3 per cent of Victorians are now regular smokers, compared with 21.2 per cent in 1998.
The continuing decline in smoking shows that the government's investment in to***co control is paying dividends in reducing the harm caused by to***co.
