Lion Heart MMA end of year break-up party!

Our Melbourne Hokushin Dojo has recently been sponsored by Hata Knives Australia - Vintage and restored Japanese chef knives, chisels and tools.

They have generously donated 3 vintage Japanese Chef knives with the combined value of $1000.

We will be giving the 1st one as a prize this weekend at the combined Christmas party with Sensei Herve and the Lion Heart MMA.

The 2nd one will be a prize at the Hokushin Shinoh Ryu Iaido. Ken-Do Kan 剣動館 Eltham end of year training break-up.

The 3rd one will be a prize at our 2024 Hokushin Seminar early next year.

Congratulations to our 9 competitors that attended a local tournament- Victorian Open Kyokushin held at Australian Croatian Association in Footscray. 6 competed in Kata. Zara 1st place under 8. 2 Brothers Noah 2nd place under 8, Ethan 2nd place under 10. Lucas 2nd place under 12 and Leon under 16 3rd place. Tina in the Open competed against both male and female in kata and did a great job and on her birthday too.... We had three competitors in non contact continuous event. All three fought well.. Congratulations to Orlina, Kiyan and Rayyan. Go Lion Heart!

Congratulations to all our students that competed. We had 7 students - 2 in elite and 5 in development. 6 events in all. They all worked extremely hard. 3 students were first time competitors. Overall we had 4 Gold and a 4th place today. Excellent results. Even the students that didn't place performed very good katas. As coaches we are very proud of them all regardless of results. Special thanks to Sempai Allie and Sensei Larry for helping to coach the kids today.
