Community Information Session!

The Berwin Zipline team welcome local stakeholders, business owners and community members to come along to a community consultation session regarding the Berwin Zipline project in Lakes Entrance.

Attendees can expect:

- Welcome & Acknowledgement of Country
- Project Overview
- Project Status
- Identified Challenges & Planned Solutions

The team look forward to meeting with the community to present the Berwin Zipline project, answer questions and receive feedback.

Team Berwin

How do you take an idea, a dream, and turn it into reality?
It starts with years of researching, planning, deliberating and then you pull together a team of like-minded people who love to dream big!

Team Berwin consists of a cohort of dreamers and doers, multitasking their way through the obstacle course of Zipline design, risk management, permissions, planning and approvals to deliver something incredibly unique to East Gippsland. Our team's expertise range from rigging and construction, to town planning and urban design, to marketing and experience design.

The team are looking forward to meeting you at the Community Information Night to be held in Lakes Entrance in July, where all questions are welcome and they will do their very best to answer as many as possible.

Not denying, it's still a bit of an 'Eagle & Egg' scenario navigating the stakeholder and community engagement requirements for certain permit approvals, but there is a quiet confidence that everything is on track. See you there!

We would like to thank you for the inundation of positive feedback, interest and excitement for the Berwin Zipline project.

It makes all the late nights, personal investment and hard work worthwhile when we read through all the encouraging comments.

They say it takes a village, and we are couldn't be luckier to have such a great community behind us.

Is this for real? It sure is!

While we are in the planning and consultation phase of the project we are limited in the information we can provide but can assure you we are going through all the appropriate channels to get Berwin launched off the ground (pun intended).

Team Berwin have been hard at work behind the scenes for the last four years consulting with the relevant government agencies, stakeholders and leading zipline engineers to determine the feasibility, design and impacts of the Zipline.

We've had positive and productive initial consultation experiences with East Gippsland Shire Council, DEECA, RDV and DJSIR and greatly appreciate in principal support letters from GLaWAC, Gippsland Ports, Darren Chester, Kalimna Hotel and Gippsland Lakes Fishing Club.

Keep an eye on us - we'll share more as soon as we are able!

We are so grateful for all the interest and positive feedback from the Lakes Entrance community.

To assist with our permit application, we will be hosting a community information session in the coming months and will endeavor to answer as many questions as we can then.
