“Swim to the Rings”
Lake Wendouree Swim Event Cancelled.

At a recent Ballarat Tri Club Committee meeting is was voted not to host a 2020 event, citing a lack of support for such an event, compliance responsibilities, operational challenges and a desire for the club to get back to participation in events for its members along with the physical time to prepare and deliver such an event.

Having hosted and organised the swim for the past two years, the Ballarat Tri Club Committee is ever grateful to our wonderful sponsors, in particular the Golden Nugget Bakery and Homestead Carpet Warehouse for their support shown to the event, the entrants who made the swim up the iconic 2000m Lake Wendouree Rowing course and the volunteers who assisted before, during and after the events.

Thanks to all who swam, volunteered, sponsored and assisted with today's swim...Weather conditions almost perfect.

Well done on a dominant swim by Tom in the male race and Ebony in the female race. Inspirational.

Speaking of inspirational, Steve Moneghetti, event ambassador, made it through in under 60 min, a great feat for a 'have a go' non swimmer.

21.5 degrees...Don't worry it will warm up again this afternoon.
