So sad to read of the death of Dave Newman who provided entertainment for Conjola Bowling Club, and attach the following tribute from Milton Ulladulla funeral services. We at Conjola Bowlo extend our sympathy to his family.
"A man larger-than-life an entertainer, a musician, teacher, a celebrant and friend whose influence reached far beyond any stage he ever stood upon. He had the ability to connect with people from every walk of life. From young children taking their very first guitar lessons to elderly residents in aged care facilities, he shared not only his music but also his kindness, patience, and genuine love for people. To the children he taught, he was more than a guitar instructor. He was an encourager, a mentor, and someone who inspired confidence. He showed them that music was not just about notes and chords but about expression, joy, and believing in themselves. To the elderly, he brought companionship, laughter, and precious moments of happiness. His visits to the aged care facilities were never just performances. They were gifts of connection. Through familiar songs, warm conversation, and his infectious spirit, he brought comfort and light to those who often needed it most. As an entertainer, he knew how to command a room. He could make people laugh, sing, dance, and forget their worries for a while. while. Yet perhaps his greatest gift was not his talent, but the generosity with which he shared it. He understood that music has the power to heal, unite, and uplift. On behalf of all of our team here, thank you Dave for being part of our family."
