WLBFNC would like to extend a huge thank you to our local community, the MDFL & MDNA communities, and everyone who contributed to making yesterday’s Grand Final such a successful day.

Congratulations to all of the 2026 Premiers! 🏆 Every game was played in great spirit, with some fantastic, fair and hard-fought football and netball on display throughout the day.

A very special thank you must go to our incredible volunteers and committee members. Hosting a Grand Final is a huge undertaking, and the way everyone stepped up, worked together and got the job done was something our club can be extremely proud of.

From the gate, canteen, BBQ and bar to the grounds, clean-up and everything happening behind the scenes — it took a huge team effort to make the day run as smoothly and successfully as it did.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, attended, supported their clubs and helped create such a fantastic atmosphere.

A wonderful day for country football and netball, and a very proud day for WLBFNC. 🖤🤍

Our ground is looking superb as is the weather forecast for tomorrow's Grand Final matches.

Thanks to all our members who have put in many hours preparing and setting up.

We have ramped up the number of eftpos machines but in this world ... cash may fast track you in the queue and its always wise to have some..just in case.

There is also an ATM at the information centre.

Good luck to all teams playing.

🖤🤍 A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR LEAGUE NETBALL EXECUTIVE TEAM 🤍🖤

This season, the League Netball Executive Team took on the enormous job of running the Mininera & District Netball League — and what a fantastic job they have done!

It has been a huge commitment for our ladies, with countless hours of work happening behind the scenes throughout the season. They have banded together, supported one another and helped deliver a very successful season for the league.

Last Tuesday, they also hosted the Mininera & District Netball League Vote Count, marking the end of the home-and-away season, with an incredible 185 people in attendance.

A special thank you to Matt (SMW Rovers), Sarah, Georgie, Claudia and Victoria for the enormous amount of work they put into making the season such a success, and Paula Symons Catering and to Jodie for doing a beautiful job with the decorating the best and fairest presentation evening. 🖤🤍

We were also very proud to see two of our young Magpies recognised amongst the league’s top performers:

🏐 Mini McDonald – 3rd, 13 & Under
🏐 Daisy McDonald – 4th, 17 & Under

Congratulations girls — a wonderful achievement! 👏

Most importantly, a massive thank you to our League Netball Executive Team. Taking on the responsibility of running the league is no small task, and we are incredibly grateful for the time, effort and commitment you have given throughout the year.

RIP Beth Cameron

Our thoughts are with Dallas, Scott and their families during this difficult time.

Beth was a wonderful member of our community and was involved in many clubs and groups, including the FNC.

She contributed much of her time to the Golf Club, Gardening Club, Development Association, Eel Festival and Town Library Book Club, among many others.

Beth will be deeply missed and remembered fondly.

Reunited with Denis. ❤️

🖤🤍 SO PROUD OF OUR U13 MAGPIES 🖤🤍

Today our U13 Mixed Football team’s season came to an end after an incredibly close elimination final against Tatyoon, going down by just 2 points, 29–27.

What a season it has been! We are incredibly proud of every one of our young Magpies. They have worked hard, improved so much and, most importantly, continued to play for each other right to the very end.

A huge thank you to our U13 parents and families for your dedication and commitment throughout the season. From getting the kids to training and games, to helping out and cheering from the sidelines, your support makes junior footy possible.

And a very special thank you to everyone who travelled down to Macarthur today to support the kids. It was wonderful to see so many Magpies on the sidelines cheering them on.

Hold your heads high, U13s — 27 points to 29 in an elimination final is a mighty effort. We couldn’t be prouder of the way you represented WLBFNC this season.
