The weekend is an opportunity to rest, reset and recharge your battery.

Connecting with nature - the more wild the better - is a great way to recalibrate your nervous system, lower cortisol levels and help you better put the stressors of modern life into perspective.

Have you hiked the Four Brothers Rocks trail in Bunyip State Park?

It’s a fun grade 3 hike with many route variations ranging in length from 10-20km. Elevation gain around 450-800m. Some steep bits, but generally comfortable going on a combo of foot trails and 4wd tracks.

Such a good option for a nature escape from the big smoke.

Our next day hike is 17th May. Guided, transport, food, logistics - all organised for you. Register to our mailing list at mountaintribe.com.au to stay in the loop about upcoming hike events

Most Everest Base Camp treks start when you land in Nepal.

Ours start six months earlier in Melbourne.

Before a single step is taken in the Himalayas, our teams spend months training together. Building strength. Building endurance. Learning the skills needed for the mountains. And most importantly… building the tribe.

That process changes everything.

By the time we arrive in Nepal, you’re not just a group of strangers who signed up for the same trip.

You’re a team.

You’ve trained together in the rain.
You’ve pushed through long hikes together.
You’ve shared coffees, laughs, sore legs and early mornings.

So when the trail gets steep… when the altitude starts to bite… when things get uncomfortable…

You don’t face it alone.

And that is a huge reason why our Everest Base Camp teams consistently achieve a success rate far above the industry norm.

Because summiting big goals isn’t just about fitness.

It’s about preparation, support, and the power of the tribe.

And that journey starts long before the plane leaves Australia.

If Everest Base Camp is on your list… this is how you should do it.

Most people only scratch the surface of their potential.

Not because they’re lazy, but because they rarely leave their comfort zone.

Growth doesn’t happen when things are easy. It happens when you’re tired, uncomfortable, and still moving forward…not because you have to, but because you chose to.

That’s what I see time and time again on challenging mountainous expeditions.

The two clients in this photo are doing it tough crossing an exhausting high mountain pass in the Himalayas… and they’re smiling. Not because it was easy, but because they were in it. In the middle of something meaningful. Something that challenged them mentally, physically, emotionally and gave them more in return than they expected.

When you commit to a long-term challenge - something that stretches you, pulls you out of routine, and demands more than you thought you had - something shifts.

You come back different.

More resilient. More grounded. More present in your relationships, more focused in your work, more proud of who you are.

And it’s not just about the summit or the scenery. It’s the process. The training. The struggle. The decision to keep going when you could’ve pulled out.

In a world that makes it easy to stay comfortable, this kind of experience rewires something.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, flat, or like you’re capable of more…you probably are.
