🎾🏆 Big Day Out: Three Flags for Our Juniors 🏆🎾

What a day for our Kyneton Tennis Club juniors - with rain delays, and venue changes, it proved challenging from the outset!

A STELLA effort from Kyneton Purple 💜 who braved the wet conditions early, grinding through a tough morning match at Woodend. It came right down to the wire. A draw on games, but they got the job done, claiming the win on sets - what a way to fight it out and come out on top! 💪🌧️

Kyneton Red gave it their all against a strong Woodend side. It didn’t fall their way this time, but the effort, determination, and team spirit were outstanding - heads held high, team! ❤️👏

After a rain delay and venue change, Kyneton Black 🖤 came out absolutely firing 🔥 building an early lead that proved crucial. Macedon mounted a comeback, but Black held their nerve to take the flag - what a performance!

And last but definitely not least…after a 5-hour delay and another venue switch, Kyneton Green hit the court on a mission. From the first serve they looked unstoppable, maintaining pressure all day to run away with a brilliant win over the solid favourites Sth Gisborne 💚🏆

3 out of 4 teams bringing home premierships - an incredible achievement!

Massive congratulations to all our juniors who competed today, your resilience, sportsmanship, and effort made the club proud!

And a big thank you to our opposition clubs; Gisborne Tennis Club, Macedon Tennis Club, Woodend Tennis Club & South Gisborne Tennis Club - for matches played in great spirit 🤝🎾

Good luck to all four of our Kyneton teams representing the Kyneton Tennis Club in tomorrow’s grand finals of the 2026 MRTA Summer Junior Competition!

Grand finals don’t come around often, so take it all in, enjoy the moment, and have a crack!
