Welcome to Tigerland, Gary. 🐯

Kyneton Football Netball Club is proud to announce Gary Learmonth as our Senior Men's Football Coach for 2027.

Gary brings a serious football background to Kyneton. A Cohuna junior who won a senior premiership at just 16, he went on to represent Vic Country in the Teal Cup before playing Reserves footy at both Collingwood and Carlton. His playing career took him through Lavington, Kyabram and a premiership with Golden Square, before finishing up as playing-coach at Darley.

On the sidelines, Gary has coached Darley into a BFL Grand Final and, most recently, led senior sides at Redan. This year he stepped up to the VFL, working as a forwards coach with Coburg. His coaching résumé also includes serious pathway experience, time with the Sandringham Dragons, General Manager of AFL Central Australia, Assistant Coach of the NT Thunder (working with future AFL talent Liam Jurrah and Liam Patrick), and managing the AFL Goldfields Junior Academy.

We're rapt to welcome someone of Gary's calibre to Tigerland, signing on for a 3-year appointment. Off the back of a strong season, Gary's experience and pathway know-how will be a huge asset in driving development across our Football Department as a whole.

From all of us - players, members, sponsors and supporters - thank you, Ethan Foreman, for leading our Tigers to finals once again and for everything you've given our Senior Men's program.

Over 3 seasons as Senior Coach, and before that as our Under 18's Coach in 2023, Ethan has dedicated heart and soul to making our club better and putting us in a fantastic position for the future.

He's not done yet - Ethan has committed to continue playing for the Tigers in 2027, with his experience and leadership remaining invaluable to our young group.

Finals weekend #1 delivered 🔥
Our Senior Footballers & D Grade Netballers put on absolute shows today + both came home with the W. Incredible Tigers.

Our 19.5s & reserves gave it everything, unfortunately our Reserves season ends here, but what an effort they've put forward, all year. Our 19's get another crack next weekend & we're excited! 💛🖤

Big weekend, bigger one coming. Semis, let's go.
