SATURDAY PENNANT 15th OCTOBER 2022

I wish to advise that after due consideration of a “Duty of Care” to our members, with regard to the current extreme weather event leaving many clubs greens as unplayable and with many areas subject to spot flooding with numerous road closures, the Goulburn Valley Match Committee have decided to take the unprecedented early step that ALL Goulburn Valley Divisions 1, 2, 3 , 4, 6 & 7 Pennant Matches set down for Saturday 15th October have been CANCELLED to be played on their available spare day of 17th December 2022, clubs are not to enter sides into Bowlslink until that date


37. Goulburn Valley Playing Area

· Cancelled Rounds:

The relevant GV Playing Area Match Committee may determine at any time prior to 3 hours of the starting time of a Round, that the Round has been cancelled. If possible, a cancelled Round may be replayed at a later date as determined by the Match Committee. If no date is available for play, then no points will be allocated for that Round. Teams should be submitted on BowlsLink as cancelled Rounds count towards qualification for finals. Cancelled Rounds may be played on Spare Days as available.



NOTE: The GV Match Committee have decided that all Division 5 games will be considered as an ABANDONED round and will NOT be replayed as there is no spare date available for them, therefore club managers are reminded to submit their selected sides on Bowlslink as per normal, home managers are to ensure visiting sides have been entered prior to recording matches as UNPLAYED WASHOUT and finalising result.



37. Goulburn Valley Playing Area



Abandoned Games:
If within 2.5 hours of a Pennant match, the Greens Director or their Deputy determines the game cannot commence, or the Side Managers agree that play is not possible, then that game will be abandoned with the points shared equally by the competing Sides. Abandoned games will not be replayed at a later date.



Side Managers may by mutual agreement abandon the game at any time due to the prevailing weather conditions.



Teams should be submitted on BowlsLink as abandoned Games count towards qualification for finals.



MEN’S STATE TRIPLES SUNDAY 16th OCTOBER 2022

I wish to advise that after due consideration the Goulburn Valley Match Committee have arranged for the Men’s State Triples to continue as schedule BUT be relocated to the SHEPPARTON PARK BOWLS CLUB undercover complex. We ask that clubs ensure any players involved are notified of this change.



We would like to thank Shepparton Park for allowing this venue change allowing us keep our program on schedule.



NOTE: At this stage Midweek Pennant and the Women’s Triples will proceed as scheduled

Congratulations go to Rob (Qantas) Anset for a great showing on the State arm bowling championship.
Rob bowl very well and made it all the way to the final only to go down in close game.
