Our 10-week Race Prep Program is designed to build the strength, conditioning, and endurance needed for events like HYROX Melbourne. Whether it’s your first time or you’re chasing a new PB, this program will sharpen you up for race day. This block ends the day of Melbourne HYROX.

PRE TESTING: Simulation Event
On the 4th of October we’re hosting a Race Simulation at 60% of the HYROX format — a benchmark workout to test your current fitness and kickstart your training. It’s the perfect practice run if you’re heading to HYROX Melbourne later this year.
All participants will complete a 0.6 version of the full course as part of our race prep. To enter, please choose a partner and make sure both of you have registered. You’ll also need to provide your partner’s name and your average predicted 5km run time (straight run, no exercises in between) as a team.
⏰️Why does registration say 3hrs?
Start times will be staggered and will be organised by race category (Men’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, or Women’s Doubles) and seeded using your combined average 5km pace to keep the event flowing smoothly. You will be given a start time prior to the day.
While the official HYROX competitions allow solo entries, this simulation will be run in a training-only doubles format to ensure the best experience for everyone.
💲As this event requires additional staffing and organisation, to make it viable there will be a cost of $5 for members and $20 for non members. Book via our app!
📢 We’re also excited to announce that for this training block we’re teaming up with local endurance coach Michael Lindeback from Livstil. Michael has created a running program designed to complement our training methods and help you get the best possible results. The program is just $50 per person. Perfect for many of our members who feel comfortable with their weights, but lack confidence or are unsure how to improve in their running. Suitable for all levels of fitness!
Michael will also be at the gym on October 4th to share more details and answer any questions. Register your interest in this program via the sign-up sheet at the gym!

This event is open and encouraged for all members, regardless of whether you plan on competing. It will provide you with a starting point and goal. It's also an opportunity to partner up and have some fun!
