YOU'RE SEEING RIGHT!
Our very own Levi will be piloting the #11 Hodgetts Racing Pro Modified at Kellerberrin Speedway on Saturday the 20th of June!
After a couple of years out of the seat, thanks to Corey Hodgetts, Levi will be having a shot in the Pro Modified division in B-Mods.

Our thoughts are with the Payne family at this very tough time. Team Nylander have a lot of fond memories with Matty enjoying all kinds of motorsports events together around the country. You will be sorely missed our friend… God speed😔

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of long-time karting commentator Matt Payne aged 46.

For more than 20 years, Matt has been the voice of Australian karting, providing media and commentary services at events across the country. Through his work as a commentator and journalist, he witnessed the development of countless young drivers who have gone on to successful careers in motorsport, and he took genuine pride in helping tell their stories and celebrate their achievements. His passion for karting, his knowledge of the sport, and his familiar voice will be deeply missed by competitors, officials and families alike.

On behalf of everyone at Karting Australia and the broader karting community, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his mother Helen, his brother Daniel, and the extended Payne family and friends during this very difficult time.

Details of Matt’s funeral arrangements will be shared once they are available.

Awesome work mate!

Waking up had a different feeling about it today.
Today was day 1 of Reyne Leeson Media being my full time job.
Some 4 years in the making i’m equal parts terrified and excited to take the next step on this path.

I won’t oversell it, I make small-scale social media content mostly for grass roots racing - but a good day at the track is often as fruitful as a full week at a job I didn’t want to be at - so what better reason to leave a job you didn’t want to do than to pursuit something you love.

For the last 2+ years it’s been work 7am-4pm, get home, velcro myself to the computer and make videos until 10:30/11pm every night and repeat. It’s not sustainable any more and something had to give.

In the short term I’ll be working with the WA Speedway Commission to make their training modules and revamp their online presence, doing small-scale commercial work + lifestyle content and leaning into the relationships i’ve developed with tracks, clubs, drivers and teams over the last few years.

I’ll also be working casually at Kacen Hydraulic Repairs a couple of days a week to make sure rent and bills are covered and i’m thankful to Ian for taking me on.

I’m so excited about the trajectory i’m on. I can’t think of anything i’d rather do than to spend my time helping grow and expose the sport I love and whatever else I might be given the opportunity to do in the process - and while there are no guarantees of success - I’ll be doing everything in my power to make sure it is successful.

I understand anyone who might be skeptical of how this will go.
I share your skepticism in a way.
But thankfully, i’m not afraid of failure.
I’m now 36 and for the first time in my entire life I have clarity on what I want to achieve and i’m excited to pursuit it.

We loved having wheeling the 54 rig this season! We wish him the best of luck for his racing campaign in the USA this June! 💪🏼🏁
