Louis began his martial arts training in 2000 and has spent the past 26+ years training across a broad range of traditional martial arts, combat sports and practical combatives systems, under some of Australia's most highly respected instructors.
He has competed in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, XMA, Kickboxing, Sambo, Point Fighting, Karate, Pankration, and continues to train and develop his skills across multiple disciplines.

Louis is a school teacher, researcher, professional musician, and an avid world traveller who loves hiking, snow sports, riding motorcycles, camping, playing Xbox and weight lifting.

Louis believes that a true martial artist should develop more than fighting ability. Training should build skill, discipline, confidence, composure and practical capability โ while maintaining respect for the traditions and people that came before us.
Louis teaches the Monday and Wednesday MMA & Self Defence classes at HVMMA, and is also available for private and small group sessions, as well as workshops and seminars.
