Hi,

we have discovered that if we no charge a race then there are no costs associated with using Webscorer. Which is a win.

You will still time yourselves and enter times on timesheets at end of race. We will then load them up into WebScorer probably on Sunday.

The race starts at Dunethin Rock scout grounds.

You must be a PA member to race.

All TEAM BOAT MEMBERS MUST ENTER individually. Please list team members in the relevant field.

This is not a PA or PQ Endorsed race. It is a club time trial, open to members of any paddle club that are part of PA or PQ.

The start line is in the lagoon and entry is via a pontoon or the boat ramp. The boat ramp is approx 500m walk and paddle back is approx 300m.

OC6, OC4, dragon boats please be advised that will not accept entries for team boats that carry more than three members

Maroochy RIver Paddle / Dunethin Rock Race

When Sat Sept 26th
Where Dunethin Rock Scout Campground to Paddle Club House Eudlo Creek

What Time : Race start will be approximately 8am

As mentioned bare bones race. We will see how many turn up and either have one or two groups starting.

The campground is being used by some kind of schools group. We will hold a quick briefing on the road opposite the campground near the track to the jetty. The briefing will only be a minute so ! at 7:15am. This allows people to get their boats on the water either via the jetty. Or go to end of the road and use the boat ramp and paddle back into the lagoon.

We will have timesheets to note down your name, time, boat type at the club house.

Hi, we are trying to track down who owns a couple of boats. Centre door of new shed. Red Boat 2 across from left and third up from bottom. Other one is a white boat on lower rack and second from right in this photo. If you could email club at [email protected] if they are yours or you know who owns them. Thanks.

Please be aware that next week the pest treatment people will be attending the club. We are heading towards nesting season so all nesting materials (e.g. Lost and Found) will be removed. Please ensure you clean the kitchen surface after use etc. As an overall statement keep things clean and tidy.

Club Boats and Members Boats
We have been informed that it appears that someone has been using a members boat. The boat is located at G19. 2nd from bottom LHS of first door of new shed. The boat has been damaged. As we move forwards we will be placing all club boats in probably two clearly defined areas.

Members boats are for their owners only unless the owner has given you permission. If unsure if a boat is a club boat check with a coach.

Maroochy River / Dunethin Rock Race. Will be held on Saturday Sept 26th. Race start time will be approximately 8am. Race will be from the rock to the club. Details regarding precise start time and how many start groups we have, closer to the time.

Duenthin Rock Race - Update
We have discovered that on the day we want to run the race there is something called the King Of The Mountain 2026 (its a kids camp). The Dunethin Rock campground caretaker is on holiday at the moment but a message has been left to contact us. The 26th is the last day of the camp.

If we are advised that probably not a good idea for us to be there we will be looking at October dates. On a side note it would appear, based on site bookings, there appears to be events running all through August / Sept.

Dunethin Rock / Maroochy River Race

Provisionally it will be running on Saturday 26th August from the rock to the club. This will be confirmed within next 6 or 7 days. We will also have a provisional timetable available.

We will be running this as a bare bones race. You time yourself, and at the end write the details down. We will then post results on the club website.

The course is 17km long. We are looking at having a second start point on Coolum Creek Boat Ramp. This would reduce the distance to around 10Km.

Also we are going to be setting up club time trials on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

Time Trial Ran Last Saturday.
Thankyou to everyone that took part last Saturday in the time trial. We aim to make this a regular event with a published calendar. Results are posted here https://sunshinecoastpaddlesportsclub.com.au/sckc/club-time-trials/

Moving forward we will probably develop a smarter front end for displaying results but this will do for now.
