Here comes 8 weekends of racing madness. After Daniel little incident at Noosa Hillclimb last year Krystal Celica is all back up and running. After leaving it outside for 3 months to rot, it was finally time to put it on the hoist for a good look. Was hoping a new guard some panel beating, maybe a bottom control arm and a tie rod... wishful thinking. Engine out, front subframe out, steering out, sway bar, hey just take it all out... get the spare cars out and strip them for parts so really do the same above job twice and then put it all back together.. 3 weekends later the new wheel and new tyre go on and it is not looking good. Full adjustment and no camber and wheel is poking waaaร y to much.. change over to an older style ball joint.. marginally better. Got it off the hoist and thought it may relax sitting on all fours.. minimal change. Took it for a drive and it surprisingly felt un crab like... book in with All Coast Tyre Solutions to see if im seeing things right.. some head scratching and looking at new guards and work completed.. my panel beating skills may not be very skilful. Well the Allcoast team worked magic,, like amazed as i thought this car was toast... Chris Undid the front subframe and man handled it with a big lever and bigger gentle persuader across about 8mm to the left.. boom ๐ฅ on the money.. tighten it all back up and we now have alignment and also the same castor & camber pre wall hit. My invoice is hefty but I will let this one slide. Time for some new wrap and a good clean. Bring on Queensland hillclimb championship at Mount Cotton this weekend then New South Wales hillclimb championship at Grafton Sporting Car Club then Noosa Hill Climb "The Hill" The following weekend.
Bring it on... no rest for the uneducated
