Rhys holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science and has spent over 10 years as a Personal Trainer and Strength & Conditioning Coach. While initially his focus has been on all things strength and performance, he has also developed a passion for injury management and rehabilitation and knows training with the intent of reinforcing correct movement patterns is the key for not only injury prevention, but for continuous and progress improvement to our health, well being, and fitness.

Happy New Year! Oh, it’s already February...

The holiday period is a fantastic opportunity to relax, recharge, and enjoy time with loved ones. It's a time to be less strict with training and nutrition, and simply be a person again. Spend time with the family, overindulge on some meals, go away on holidays, relax for once... you know, if you’re into that sort of thing.

For many of us, the New Year brings resolutions – those goals and ambitions we've been thinking about. Now's the time to pursue them.

January's fresh start is behind us, and now the real work begins: turning those resolutions into lasting lifestyle changes. It's easy to get excited about something new when you have ample free time, enjoying that holiday buzz.

And now we’re in February. Back to reality, and the suddenly the gravity is real. The challenge of fitting new habits into our busy lives sounds simple, but it's often harder than it looks.

Change isn't about quick fixes or drastic measures. It's about building consistent, sustainable habits that support your long-term goals, whether you're aiming for peak athletic performance, recovering from an injury, or simply want to feel healthier and stronger.

What’s up, guys!

It’s been a while since I have updated you guys, so I have a few announcements today:

Firstly, for those of you who don’t know:

I have moved to Newcastle after finishing up at 360 Fitness Club in Tamworth earlier this year. Moving directly into another lockdown wasn’t ideal, but we are now based out of Genesis Health & Fitness at Cook’s Hill. It’s a great space and will perfectly suit us as we make our next steps. Also has a Ninja Park, which is ridiculously fun. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend coming down and giving it go!

Secondly, we are finally launching our online training group:

The Blue Team.

Yes, it’s back. And officially official. This group is for all the clients and friends I coach and have helped along their own journeys. Here, we're creating a community of bettering ourselves and supporting each other to achieve our body, performance, and health goals. Those interesting in joining the Blue team, let me know.

I am also in the process of producing, recording, and editing what will become my online training library and information resource. The current scope will cover instruction videos for exercises, stretching and mobility drills, nutritional and supplement information, breakdowns of training protocols and principles, and other health and wellbeing topics. This scope will likely grow and evolve the over time, so stay tuned.

Members of the Blue Team get initial exclusive access to all my exercise library and information content as it is produced. They will also get priority on anything they wish to have help with or included in the above libraries. As you are you the people who I get the pleasure of working with and helping, my goal is here is to provide as much support as I can.

Finally, we will be launching a set of completely online training programs in early 2022. These will cover physique, strength, and athletic coaching systems, with multiple separate programs in each category. This will allow us to cover most broad goals and allow for customization to suit everyone personally. Everything is coming together brilliantly so far, I’ll have more information on these soon.

And that's a wrap!

Three weeks ago I finished up with my position at 360 Fitness club. I've spent nearly 9 years working for the best gym in Tamworth, and have learned an incredible amount and had the opportunity to work with soo many amazing people and athletes.

Today was my last training session here, and I'll definitely miss everyone! I want to thank the owners and DJ and Jay for everything they have done for me over the years, I'll never forget and the club will always feel like family to me.

Onto the next adventure!

ATTENTION Sports persons and Athletes of Tamworth!

Pursuing Movements Athletic Strength and Conditioning programs will return for one final term from Monday 19th of April!

Get faster and stronger while learning to move more efficiently and improve your performance both on and off the field. Ideal for athletes and sports persons of all disciplines, programs are customised to your yearly training plan and are available to groups or teams, or to individual athletes to maximise performance. Elements of our program designs include:

- Running Form
- Plyometrics
- Ankle stiffness
- First step quickness
- Resisted Speed
- Agility & Footspeed
- Lateral Quickness & Multidirectional Agility

Currently scheduled for 10 weeks on:

Monday from 4pm
Wednesday from 4pm,
Saturday from 9am.

Coach Rhys is our Strength & Conditioning Coach with over 10 years coaching experience, and a Bachelor or Exercise & Sport Science. He has coached numerous athletes, including but not limited to weightlifters, cyclists, iron man competitors, cricket, rugby league, basketball, soccer, & netball. They have ranged from local representatives looking for an extra edge, up to nationally competitive and even national record breakers.

Happy New Year!

We've thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and time off to rest and recharge. While celebrating 2020 coming to an end, it's time to hit the ground running for 2021.
