โ›„๏ธ 13 August 1964, petrol bowsers pictured at the Golden Fleece servo at Smiggin Holes Ski Resort had to be dug out after record snowfalls. The 1964 ski season was one of the biggest snow years across the major ski regions of Australia with the snow depth peaking at 355.6 cm at Spencers Creek.

* The longest Australian snow records have been collected by the Snowy Hydro Scheme at Spencers Creek, between Perisher Valley and Charlotte Pass, in New South Wales.
