And they're off! Start of the 49th Dobbiaco Cortina Classic race. Due to lack of snow coverage the race is reduced from 42km to 26km. Despite this, the snow quality is good. I'm looking forward to the skating race tomorrow.

Some trail grooming has commenced.- yeaay! 💃 Snow is still a bit patchy in sections, so one must be careful, especially on the downhills. I managed to ski continuous loops without much trouble, however some quick lifting of feet over bushes, the odd rock & the use of a modified snow plough on some dodgy downhills was required. 😅 Photos taken yesterday.

Although the going is rough and hard to ski out beyond the Nordic Shelter, I have found a safe area to teach.
