Today is my last day in running the face book site for the South Gippsland Veterans Cricket Club - Over 50's, 60's and 70's teams. It has been fun running this site and I wish whoever takes it over the very best. I have at most times tried to run this site with some humour and each week I loved reading Graza Wightman's ball by ball hard hitting and often hilarious write ups on the game. I have enjoyed taking the photos at the games and posting them on here for all to view, share and most of all have a laugh.

Why am I leaving?

Well, I have effectively been sacked by the club for what was a difficult day last Sunday at Inverloch in the Over 60s game. As there is no chance for me to put my side of the story for what happened, I have decided to accept the committee's decision and I have resigned as of now as a player, and any further involvement with the club.

Now, I don't wish to comment any further, what has been done is done and I have no regrets, but I do leave with sadness.

I have made some wonderful friends here in both the over 60s and over 50s and you know who you are, you are loyal and would never stab me in the back.

So it is farewell, wish the two over 50s teams the very best in their Grand Finals on Sunday and of course my true mates in the remaining games in the over 60s.
