SQUAD SELECTION ANNOUNCEMENTS
Koroit & District Basketball Association is excited to announce our Player selections for the 2026/27 Junior Representative Season. We again had an overwhelming number of highly talented participants, making the selection process incredibly competitive. Congratulations to all selected.

This season we will have 6 teams entering tournaments

1 x U.14 Boys
2 x U.16 Boys
2 x U.18 Boys
1 x U.18 Girls

Families will receive an email to the address provided from the Tryout registrations tomorrow evening which will include our Junior Representative Player Handbook that includes our Code of Conduct agreements that must be signed by both player and parents/guardians.

All offers for positions must be accepted by 6 pm Thursday 20th of August. If your child has been selected and you have not received an email by 6pm Friday 31st of July, please contact us on our page. See less

🏀 COMMITTEE ANNOUNCEMENT 2026/2027 🏀

Following our AGM on Wednesday 10th June, we’d like to announce our committee members.

A very big thank you and farewell goes to our outgoing member, Steve Wright. We’re very grateful for your contribution and support. We also see a change in executive committee positions with Warwick McEachern stepping down from the President's position to a general committee position. Thank you again, Warwick, for your support and your drive over the years.

🏀 Thank You, Warwick 🏀

After five years of incredible dedication to the Koroit & District Basketball Association, Warwick McEachern has made the decision to step down as President.
While we are sad to see Warwick move on from the role, we are incredibly grateful for the impact he has had on our association, both on and off the court.

During his time with KDBA, Warwick has worn many hats — serving as a Domestic Coach, Aussie Hoops Coach, Squad Coordinator and Coach, Referee, Vice President, and President. His commitment to our players and community has been nothing short of outstanding.

Warwick has played a key role in shaping the identity of our association. From rebranding KDBA with new logos and uniform designs, to writing our Constitution, Association Values, By-Laws, and Squad Participation Code of Conduct, his work has laid strong foundations for the future.
Through his leadership, over $13,000 in sponsorships and grants were secured, allowing us to invest back into our community with:

• New player jerseys and squad warm-up tops,
• Player benches and ball racks,
• A canteen drinks fridge, and most recently
• A new scoreboard

Warwick also introduced our End of Season Awards, recognising MVPs, Rising Stars and scoring leaders, along with our Annual Association Award, celebrating members who embody our values of Leadership, Respect, Community, and Inclusion.

His passion for growing the game has helped expand participation, particularly in our girls programs, and since 2023 KDBA has proudly supported the Warrnambool Seaside Classic Tournament at Vic Park.

Warwick’s contribution has also been recognised beyond our association, including:

• Inspiring Individual Award (Moyne Shire – Wannon Volunteer Awards 2024)
• Finalist – South West Community Sports Awards 2025 (Women’s Participation Initiative)
• Basketball Victoria Referee Program of the Year 2025 (Association Award)

Warwick leaves behind a lasting legacy that will benefit our players, families and wider community for years to come.

JUNIOR DOMESTIC SEASON - WINTER 2026 🏀

!!COACHES NEEDED!! Please send a message through to KBA via Messenger or email ([email protected]) to volunteer to coach a team. Current WWCC is a requirement.
The committee will make the final decision on team coaches, and will let each person know.

Season begins this Wednesday 29th April. Team list are attached in this post.

Fixture is available on MyHoops or PlayHQ.
A paper copy of the fixture will be available at the stadium.

**PLEASE REMEMBER**
The first 3 weeks are grading weeks, therefore we are likely to make changes each week to ensure our teams are adequately balanced.

SCORERS:
Parent volunteers have been allocated randomly to the games. You will find this information on MyHoops or PlayHQ (example shown below)

PLAYERS:
Please ensure players come along with a water bottle, and clean and adequate footwear for the court. Their playing singlets will be given out prior to their first game. Please make sure you allow an extra few minutes for this.

There will be a kiosk available for select drinks and snacks.
