Congratulations go to Warren Nel, Anita Dewhurst and Kane Snelling after completing their CDAA cave course. After 2 days of diving in Gouldens im sure the physical stress of diving in 12 degree water added far more to the CDAA pre assessment dive (aka the infamous Stress Test) than the test was originally designed to create. We even had one candidate manage to complete all of the inwater skills in a wettie - go Anita! Thank goodness for the warmth of Habby every night.

Garinda Dive have crawled out of the freshwater caves for a while and are back in the salty stuff again. Salty caves have heaps more critters than the fresh ones! Awesome couple of dives with the guys from West Rocks Dive Centre.

After a rough start to the course (thick fog, lost phones and kamikaze kangaroos) the inwater work was pretty straightforward in comparison 🤣! Well done and congratulations go to Haoze Li and Emma Zhang on successfully completing their CDAA cave course with Linda and Garinda Dive. Well done guys and I look forward to diving with you again.

Congratulations Kristen - CDAA Advanced Cave course all done. Having already shown proficiency in the foundation skills that define a Cave diver it was a pleasure to add the AC skills and watch you quickly become an Advanced Cave diver. Following a journey across the ditch as part of the Dive Experience/Global Dive biannual migration to undertake his CDAA Basic Cave course, we are now delighted to introduce Wei to the fold. Wei has experienced the unpredictable Mount Gambier weather (should have been here last week!), the thrill of twin 12’s, hills and steps, more steps, numerous steps, steel steps, wooden steps, rock steps, man-made steps, natural steps - too many steps … and a flooded dry suit! He also had the opportunity to experience Gouldens (a rite of passage - we all have to do it…), Little Blue, One Tree and Kilsbys. Congratulations Wei Jiang and welcome to the CDAA. Thanks Danny for buddying up with Wei 👌

Congratulations to Andrew Currie who travelled all the way from Perth to complete his CDAA Cave course. Already a very experienced diver it was a pleasure to dive with him in Mount Gambier and introduce him to our caves - and the fickle MG weather! Great job Andrew and I look forward to diving with you again. Thanks to Darren Mitchell for helping out with the Gouldens dive.
