What can we say!
Rod Sievwright always puts his hand up to help on race day, assistant Chief Steward, scrutineering, Scales or even Quad bike riding on Race days, you will find him somewhere at the track!

Speedway Karts Australia is proud to announce that Rod Seivwright has been awarded our Volunteer of the Year.

Rod was nominated alongside many outstanding individuals this year, which makes this recognition even more meaningful. His commitment to the sport spans more than three decades, having started in 1991 with the NSW Speedway Kart Club and claiming his first championship in 1993.

Since relocating to Mildura in 2011 and joining the Sunraysia Dirt Kart Club, Rod has been a constant presence in the sport — as a racer, crew member, steward across multiple codes, and a dedicated volunteer. Following a work injury in 2024, Rod stepped away from active racing and has continued to give back through even greater involvement behind the scenes.

Rod’s passion for speedway karts is evident in everything he does — from supporting competitors and officials, to helping bring international and interstate drivers to events, and contributing to the growth of our sport at all levels.

On behalf of everyone at Speedway Karts Australia, thank you Rod for your incredible contribution and ongoing dedication.

Congratulations Rod on a well-deserved honour.
